Ron shares his first impressions of being in the Northern Rockies of Alberta.  Mark talks about photographing in early June and the challenges of the longer days and constant weather changes.  Michael and Mark discuss the moose population and the chances of being able to photograph moose calves.  Michael shares the importance of filming smaller mammals and birds for video to put the whole story together.

We had huge success filming Sharptail Grouse on one of Ron's secret leks. The perfect day, a light dusting of snow and lots of birds!

Wyoming Photo Expedition - Day 4 - Today was a great day! Made it out the door in complete darkness and got to the sage grouse lek in ample time.

The snow is gone, it's super cold, but it's our first opportunity to get out and see if we can find and film the sage grouse. We find the grouse but we are not able to get close enough for Ron and Mark to shoot still images. When the grouse are done displaying, we back out of our spot, return to the truck and go fly the drone.

Woke up to snow and Ron thought we might not have much luck finding the sage grouse so we slept in, had some awesome coffee and recorded a couple of podcasts. We did get out in the afternoon and Mark was able to film his fist pronghorn antelope.

Mark and Michael drove from Denver to Wyoming arriving late in the afternoon. Since the species of grouse we are trying to film are only active in the morning we spent the evening looking for Merriam's wild turkey. On this podcast we replay day 1 in Wyoming and Ron sets the scene for what to expect photographically and the behaviors of sage grouse.
