Gone Are the Days (Lions of Israel, 2005) What an impressive solo debut from newcomer Joseph Israel Gone Are the Days is. Everything about it scream "professional," and it has a Jamaican authenticity that belies the fact that Israel is from the US. Its lush roots sound was recorded in part at Tuff Gong Studio and was co-produced and arranged by legendary Jamaican musicians Earl "Chinna" Smith and William "Squidley" Cole. And it features guest vocals from big names like Luciano and Mikey General. Luciano's appearance is appropriate, as it's that sort of humble modern roots sound that Israel strives for. He succeeds with wonderful tunes like "Jerusalem," the soulful "Gone Are the Days," the funky call to action "Jah Souljahs," and the lively love song "Be Together." The only piece that at times falls short is Israel's vocals, which aren't as full-bodied or polished as, say, Luciano, and thus are occasionally overpowered by the potent music (A dub album could certainly be in order.). Joseph Israel cuts a striking figure in the reggae realm, with his pallid features and dangling auburn beard, but any prejudices about his appearance should be put to rest with one listen to the sparkling Gone Are the Days. Rodney Perry’s high-energy comedy performances are the reason why he is a veteran in the game and one of the busiest brothers in the business. Perry currently serves as side-man on BET’s “The Mo’Nique Show” where he provides laughs alongside comedienne Mo’Nique five nights a week. For four seasons, Perry has served as co-host and Man On The Street for TV One’s comedy competition, Bill Bellamy’s “Who’s Got Jokes.” He’s also appeared on HBO’s “Def Comedy Jam,” BET’s “Comic View,” Showtime’s “Jamie Foxx’s Laffapalooza,” Starz network’s “Martin Lawrence Presents First Amendment Comedy,” E! Network’s “Chelsea Lately” and Byron Allen’s “Comics Unleashed.” On the big screen, Perry has starred alongside Matt Damon in the film, “The Informant,” as well as appeared in “Bushwacked,” “Chicago Pulaski Jones” with Cedric The Entertainer, “Johnson Family Vacation” and DVD releases “Legacy,” “Redrum” and “Showstoppers.” Perry toured with the Budweiser Starting Lineup of Comedy. In 2002, he joked his way to a Bay Area Black Comedy competition championship. He has opened for legendary hip-hop artists Run DMC and the late music icon Ray Charles. Born in Chicago and raised in Monroe, Louisiana, Perry found his way to comedy by way of the U.S. Navy, where he performed to some of his toughest audiences. He eventually moved to the Bay Area where he honed his comedic craft and perfected his stage show, which includes hilarious observations on everything from the workplace to the joys – and occasional pains – of raising a big family. Perry and his wife of 13 years are the parents of five children.

This is going to be an awesome interview! Bio: Michel’le Toussant is an outstanding R&B vocalist. She is known for her squeaky, child like speaking voice, which is a startling contrast to her strong vocals. Michel’le was the featured female vocalist on the World Class Wreckin’ Crew’s 1988 single “Turn Off The Lights”. The singer was originally signed to Eazy-E’s Ruthless Record and in 1989 Ruthless Records released “Michel’le” her self-titled debut album, which was entirely produced by Dr. Dre. The album contained the classic “No More Lies“ also hit singles “Nicety” and “Something in my Heart”. The album Michel’le sold over 1.5 million copies and went on to make 2 music videos for the singles from the album. She also toured throughout the United Kingdom in support of the album. In 1997 Michel’le released her second album titled “Hung Jury” in which she released the hit “Hang Time”. In 2003 she appeared on the Dysfunktional Family Soundtrack. Her most recent events were “Chocolate Sunday” at “The Savoy Entertainment Center” in Inglewood, CA on August 2, 2009 and by popular demand for a returned performance on September 6, 2009 with Hip Hop Artist “YoYo”, On Oct. 17, 2009 she performed at the “Taste of Soul” of Los Angeles where there was over 100,000 people in attendance. On December 12, 2009 she performed her new single “Freedom To Love” at The Annual House Full of Toys benefit concert at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, sharing the stage with outstanding performers such as Mr. Stevie Wonder, The Jonas Brothers, Robin Thicke, and India Arie just to name a few. On January 16, 2010 she performed in the Martin Luther King Jr. celebration for the city of Long Beach, CA. February 2010 she began her tour hitting the cities of Los Angeles, CA, Long Beach, CA, Pomona, CA, San Bernardino, CA, Chicago, IL, and Houston, TX just to name a few.
