 What's a Fair Tax System? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:18:00

On this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: A few months ago when the latest tax cuts were being passed by congress I saw something I never saw before. People were complaining about tax cuts. I have never in my life seen that. Usually tax cuts are very popular. I'm sure there are always some people that don't want tax cuts but this time was different. There were a lot of people arguing that tax cuts were a bad idea. Most of the arguments centered around the idea that tax cuts would cause a bigger deficit and more debt. Well at least we agree on one thing, deficits and debt are bad.  So exactly how much does government cost and how does that cost get shared fairly? So hit the play button!  Why Does American Need To Be The Worlds Police Force? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:19:00

On this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: The United States spends more than 3 times on military expense than the next closest country and as much as the next 19 countries combined. American military are deployed around the world and we even provide complete protection to countries like Japan. So the question is, why does America need to be the world's police force? Maybe a better way to put it would be, if we don't do it who else will? The next biggest country in terms of military is China. Do we want China to be the world's political police force? But, what about Europe? What about some of our Asian and Middle Eastern partners? Why aren't they contributing more? Do we need such a big military and is it worth the expense?  Florida School Shooting Fallout | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:23:00

On this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: I know the school shooting is horrible. Why isn't anybody asking what's causing the problem and developing a plan to make schools safer? It's guns, it's bad parenting, it's fatherless homes, it's antidepressants. Everybody throwing around a crap, like throwing mud against the wall seeing what will stick What's the cause of the problem and what's the plan to make the schools safer because any other conversation does nothing to address that question. Now there's groups calling for a school walk out. What does that accomplish? One thing is clear the politicians don’t have a clue what to do. I'd love to see the NRA or the Gun manufacturers pull together to study this problem and come up with a plan. If the NRA really cared about freedom they'd be taking on this initiative.  Michael Savage for Senate: Could He Win? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:29:00

On this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: Michael Savage is considering a run for Senate. Who is he and what does he stand for? If you don't know who he is, Michael Savage or Doctor Savage is an author and talk show host. If you know who is I'd say it's more than likely you fall into one of two camps. Either you love him or hate him. This isn't a guy who's some talking head. This isn't a guy who's been reporting news for the past 20 years. This isn't a guy who follows the rules of political correctness. This is a guy with an ideology, and a message. He's a very, very powerful, influential voice. That's not to say everybody loves him because he's got plenty of enemies. He's got a lot of enemies. But, make no mistake there's a lot of people who agree with what he has to say. So the question is, if he decides to run, could he win? So hit the play button! Visit: http://www.christopherscottshow.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/christopherscottshow/

 Democrat Socialism: It's Still Socialism | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:18:00

On this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: I’m amazed at how many people in this country are so willing to embrace socialist ideas. Government is the only thing where people will buy into the idea that something failing must mean we need more of it. Did it ever dawn on you that socialist ideas are causing the problems in this country? There’s no doubt there’s a problem. People feel it. You see it in the news. There’s no hope, why? With every problem there’s a huge number of people ready and willing to give up rights and give control to a government that’s failed and it will never succeed. Name one time socialism has worked? It fails to take into account human nature – that’s what always leads to the collapse of socialism. People will say well if we could all just cooperate we can’t agree on anything. The problem is nobody thinks like that. People are greedy. It’s a survival mechanism At some point you have to face reality We call it democratic or liberal or progressive – its none of those things. Putting the word “democratic” in front your socialism doesn’t make it any inherently more moral, nor less violent. Whatever happened to the basic values of this country that were admired?  The Christopher Scott Show Talk Radio Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:23:00

On this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: How many lives have been destroyed by sex scandals? The whole thing plays out on TV like a bad episode of Jerry Springer but you realize there’s people’s real lives behind all that don’t you? Families, kids. Careers destroyed. It’s hardly a fair process.  Last year there were 987 people shot and killed by police. At the same time, 44 police officers got shot and killed on duty. I want to know, when should police shoot? There's twice as much pot sold in this country as there is ice cream. What does that tell you? Well, it tells you people like pot a lot more than ice cream. It's the most commonly used illegal drug in the United States. 750,000 people get arrested for it every year. Should it be legal everywhere? I want to talk about how it’s working out in Colorado. The United States spends more on health care than any other country on the world. Why is the cost of health care so high in this country? Why aren't people screaming about it? Does it not dawn on anyone we're getting ripped off and why? We're getting ripped off with premiums then ripped off some more when we try to use the crappy insurance. And, you know I love talking about the military. Well there’s a new rule. Deploy or get out. That's the word for the military. As it should be. I don't know why it never was. The military isn't the Boy Scouts. So hit the play button! Visit: http://www.christopherscottshow.com   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/christopherscottshow/

How To Change The World | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:19:00

This is the transcript of the introduction for this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: Did you know anxious people are more likely to get bitten by dogs? That’s scientifically proven. People that are anxious around dogs are more likely to get bitten. Anxious people are also more likely to get treated like crap by other people. That’s not scientific, just my observation. But, don’t you think it’s true? It’s cruel right? So cruel some people would probably rather get bitten by a dog than deal with people. Why? Why would a dog bite somebody that's showing fear? Are dogs psychopaths? Do dogs have some inherent nature that draws them to attack weakness? Maybe some do but it can't be true most of the time. The dog sees it as a threat. They see you being anxious as stressful. If the dog doesn't know you it perceives it as a threat. Maybe people are the same way. It's easy to see somebody who's anxious and misinterpret that as anger. I fact if you think about it a lot of people display their concern, or fear or whatever, they show it as anger. Think about a kid that's scared to go in a haunted house. Sometimes the kid will cry and say their scared. Sometimes they'll stomp their feet and throw a tantrum. So the question is, how do you build confidence and convince people to respond differently to you? Being able to do that is also the key to something much bigger because if you can convince people to think and act differently you can create change. You can change the mood in your family, the culture at work and even the world. So hit the play button!  Military: Deploy or Get Out | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:18:00

This is the transcript of the introduction for this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: Deploy or get out. That's the word for the military. As it should be. I don't know why it never was. As a Marine combat veteran I spend more than half my time in the Marine Corps deployed so excuse me if I don't sugar coat this. The military isn't the Boy Scouts. It can be a great opportunity but the opportunity starts with dedication to service. That means grabbing your trash and going where the military tells you to go when they need you to go. It's not always convenient, it's not always fun. It's reality. It's not a social experiment or a feel good boys club. It's serious business and needs to be treated as such. If you don't like it, get out. So hit the play button! Visit: http://www.christopherscottshow.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/christopherscottshow/

The Cost of US Health Care: Why Is It So High? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:19:00

This is the transcript of the introduction for this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: The United States spends more on health care than any other country on the world. Why is the cost of health care so high in this country? Why aren't people screaming about it? Does it not dawn on anyone we're getting ripped off and why? We're getting ripped off with premiums then ripped off some more when we try to use the crappy insurance. Healthcare spending is projected to hit $5.7 trillion by 2026. Barely 8 years from now that's one third of today's GDP. So health care will account for one third of all the money spent on all the goods and services in this country. That's insane. How long can that continue? And, who's footing the bill? The government pays for two thirds of all the health care premiums in this country. All that still isn't enough to protect you personally. Going to the doctor or worse the ER is a major liability. So hit the play button! Visit: http://www.christopherscottshow.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/christopherscottshow/

Cannabis In Colorado: The Great Experiment | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:23:00

This is the transcript of the introduction for this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: There's twice as much pot sold in this country as there is ice cream. What does that tell you? Well, it tells you people like pot a lot more than ice cream. It's the most commonly used illegal drug in the United State but eight states and Washington D.C. allow legal recreational sale and use of marijuana. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? I suppose your opinion might depend on whether or not you prefer pot or ice cream. Colorado was the first state to legalize recreational weed. It's been five years now since they made it legal. Like anything there are a few pro's and con's but it doesn't look like many people in Colorado are complaining. So hit the play button!  Police Shootings: When Should Police Shoot? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:23:00

This is the transcript of the introduction for this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: Last year there were 987 people shot and killed by police. At the same time, 44 police officers got shot and killed on duty. This is the sad reminder of the work police do every day. Guns, violence and killing are a way of life for police. Look at the all the stuff they deal with. They respond to calls ranging from lost dogs, to domestic violence to armed robberies. And, every situation is different. They never know what their walking into. They never know who their dealing with or when somebody's going to turn violent. And the decision to shoot or not to shoot is usually made in nanoseconds. Sometimes, usually they only have a split second to make that decision. The question is, when does an officer decide to shoot? But, what about when police don't shoot? What about when decides NOT to pull the trigger. Well a cop in West Virginia got FIRED for it. He responded to a domestic call and when he got there the guy was waving a gun around. The cop could of shot him but he didn't and got fired for it. So the question is, when should the police shoot? So hit the play button!  Sex Scandals: The Whole Story | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:29:00

This is the transcript of the introduction for this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast: According to Time magazine 95 public figures have been accused of sexual harassment just since the Harvey Weinstein story broke. The stories are endless. Last week a report was made about a 22 year old female student teacher at a Connecticut High School. She's charged with sexual assault for her encounters with an 18 year old male student back in December and January. This year the senate confirmed it paid out $2.5 million dollars of tax payer money over the last 20 years to years to settle sexual harassment claims against senators. And ironically, last weekend the latest sequel of Fifty Shades of Gray opened to a huge weekend making the total revenue from the series over a billion dollars. Sex sells meanwhile companies pay for sexual harassment. The whole situation has turned into an ugly national soap opera. The problem has effected companies, the media, Hollywood, teachers and even government. It's even gotten the attention of the president. He sent out a Tweet last week saying, "Is there no such thing any longer as Due Process?" That's one question. What about the falsely accused people who are innocent. There's no standard of justice. Allegations are made and if they come from 3 or 4 women it's curtains for you. What about the rest of the story? What about the lives, careers and families that have been destroyed? Oh, and, there's that one other little issue, what about all the victims? What about the destruction of their lives? What do we do about it? So hit the play button!  The Christopher Scott Show Talk Radio Podcast | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:08:00

Welcome to the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast. Here's what we're talking about today. Would anybody watch the news if it was just real fact based news without all the bias, sensationalism and political slant? 7 in 10 people don't trust the media, why is that? It doesn't matter what channel you turn to it’s the same story just finger pointing in a different direction. Why does it keep happening? What would you do if you won the lottery? Did you know 70% of people who win the lotter end up broke and miserable? Whatever happened to hard work? Everybody wants to take the easy way out. You might not want to after I tell you about this phenomena. Why do so many big companies have such terrible reputations? You don't hear much talk about big corporations any more. There's some big companies doing a great job, others not so much. Who's keeping them in check? It doesn't seem the government's doing anything about it. Do you think Vice President Pence is humble and if so is it that good or bad? This is an interesting story because in a lot of ways Pence is the opposite of Trump. Don't you think maybe he'd get some praise for that? This last one is a theory I have. Do you think that all the division in this country is a result of the debt problem? Look at what happens when a husband and wife have financial problems. They argue about everything. Could that be what's happening in this country and we don't even know it? So hit the play button!
