May 8th - Interview Special In this show Kiku KimonolisaSaiko MikanBack in late 2004, we had our first celebrity interview (kind of).  Americas Number One Japanese Go Go Band, the inimitable Gaijin A Go Go.   Well, I say interview...But what actually happened was I emailed them a bunch of questions and got them to interview themselves (how professional of me). And so, to celebrate our 10th Birthday, I thought it was time to right this wrong and invited them back on via Skype (across three different timezones) so I could talk to them in person.   Since we last 'talked' to them, Gaijin A Go Go has gone on an extended hiatus so I caught up with, arguably, the most important members: Petra Hanson (Kiku Kimonolisa) and Sanford Santacroce (Saiko Mikan) and we discussed everything from the history and creation of the band to life after Gaijin and a number of things inbetween (including the new Godzilla, toilet restaurant shit curry and Fixxology) Here's a couple of links mentioned in the interview: Gaijin A Go Go Official Website Andy Lewis Anno's Africa Rockstar Games I had a fantastic time as they are both interesting and entertaining and it was great to get to finally chat to them in person.   I'd like to end with a  big thank you to Petra and Sanford and let's hope it's not nearly 10 years before we talk again. February 20th - Show 482 In this show:We find out that Lee is inundated with Fiverrs whilst mine are all on hold.  He's also found this Snug IPA that's actually brewed in Salt Spring Island (home of top international listener, Tamara).  What are the chances?  although, upon saying that, there's a  Snug recording studio & Snug tanning salon in Derby…Maybe we started a trend all those years ago? Hear Lee's (quite serious) view on 12 years a slave and my not so serious look at Arrow.  Lee almost went to see Priscilla Queen of the Desert for Valentines after last shows discussion about 'We Belong'. And so, onto The Book! (fanfare, exclamation point, bolded).  For our 10th Anniversary (our Decennary) I am going to write, edit and publish a large format 'annual-style' looking back over the years.  I've enlisted the help of Fluffy and Tamara and in this show, I introduce the notion to Lee.  and am underwhelmed by his 'enthusiasm'.  He is somewhat  reluctant to do any writing (he lacks belief).  We keep returning to The Book throughout the show as we reminisce about the 'good ole days'. The 10th anniversary website update is still underway as lee wrestles with 'X, the unultimate wordpress plugin' (it's not 'ultimate', by the way)  and along the way we dig up the page from 2004, when I was 'arrested by the FBI' in connect with the Fettuchini raid.I also re-discover how funny the Snugfans Blog used to be. In the latter stages of the show we discuss my posh dinner at Seven, an amazing number of pigeon breeds, Roaries (or RAWries, if you prefer), a tiny bit of UW and cybersquatting .uk domains. February 6th - Show 480In this show:He's only had it a day or two but Lee has 'broken' his new (see last show) tablet already!!  It shouldn't be that much of a surprise consider his technical talents.  He's excited about a new Wordpress template called Soundwave and we have some minor FTP issues with the Snug website.
