In this newsy first hour of the Jeremy Werner Show, Jeremy, Austin and Isaac talk about Urban Meyer's retirement, Fred Hoibergs firing, and the MLB hot stove.

J Leman is in-studio for a full hour, and he breaks down the College Football Playoff. J and Jeremy jump back and forth on who should be top Heisman selection. J and Jeremy also talk about the possible Illinois football transfers, and the hierarchy in the Big Ten West next season. 

Deon Thomas hops on for the full hour to talk Illinois basketball. Deon gives his thoughts on Illinois' youth and how they'll stack up in Big Ten play. Deon is fired up about Giorgi B, but Illinois needs Ayo and Trent Frazier to play at a high level if they want some sort of success.

CBS Sports' Tom Fornelli joins the show breaking down the coaching carousel in college football and also gives his thoughts on Illinois' defensive coordinator search. Michael Bruntz, Nebraska's 247Sports guru, previews Nebraska vs. Illinois on Sunday.
