On Episode 37 of the Teel Time podcast, David Teel and Jonathan Heeter talk about the NFL Draft and look at Virginia Tech's historic night in Texas. The Hokies became the first school in history to have two brothers drafted in the first round of the same NFL Draft with Tremaine Edmunds headed to the Buffalo Bills and Terrell Edmunds landing in Pittsburgh. We talk about the topline quarterbacks and try to figure out the difference in Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson, and we talk about the other Virginia and Virginia Tech players who were selected. We talk about the fallout of the resignation of Virginia Tech assistant football coach Galen Scott in the aftermath of his admitted extramarital affair. With the Hokies already through spring practice, how good of a candidate can the Hokies draw with the fall practice approaching? We put a bow on spring practice for U.Va., and Teel talks about his sitdown this week with Virginia Tech athletic director Whit Babcock. We talk about the upcoming ACC Network and how cable viewership numbers and cutting the cable cord could affect the network. And, we manage to get in a little NBA playoffs conversation. The December signing period packed all of the action, but both Virginia and Virginia Tech filled some needs on signing day. The Virginia basketball team keep rolling along, as the Cavaliers went to Tallahassee and picked up a 12th straight ACC win. When -- or if -- will the Cavaliers lose? Virginia Tech kept its tournament hopes alive with a win over N.C. State on Wednesday. The Hokies still have work to do, and Teel and Heeter discuss the silver lining in Tech's tough remaining schedule. Teel talks about where Old Dominion and William and Mary need to improve to make runs through conference tournaments, and the guys talk about the thrilling Super Bowl matchup.
