One way to know if a question is from the enemy, is by determining if it drives you farther away from or closer to God. In part 4 of "Start Asking Questions," Pastor Tye challenges us to find out what or who may be hindering our walk with God. As we continue to ask ourselves the right questions, we can be sure we're walking in the right direction.

It's easy to get caught up in social media, TV programs or even entertainment news flashes; as we're bombarded with these messages daily. But have you ever stopped to think about how some of these messages could be "programming" us to think of ourselves or others? In the message "Who Cares?" Pt. 2, Pastor Tye sheds some light on why we should be mindful of how much care we put into what others may think of us or what they may be doing in their lives. Instead, we should be more focused on what the Lord is doing in our lives, as He is creating us into who He's called us to be.

What would you consider to be the most POWERFUL force in the Universe? A supernova, which is when a star explodes in space, is one of the greatest explosions or forces in the universe. Yet, there is still a force much greater; the spoken and written WORD of God. Minister Stephen Ivey tackles this subject by exposing the Power in the Word of God that has been made available for all of us to have!

In Mark 4, Jesus tells the parable of the sower, about a farmer who scatters seed for harvest. The seed, illustrates the Word of God, and how it's received by those who hear it. The seed that lands on thorny ground symbolizes those who allow the cares and worries of this world to strangle the Word in their lives. In the first lesson of this months series, "Who Cares," Pastor Tye shares how we need to prioritize our cares, so the Word can take root in our lives.

When taking an exam, there is usually a set of questions we have to go through, and answer for ourselves. In 2 Corinthians 13:5, Paul instructs believers to examine themselves, to be sure they are living according to their faith. How do you do that, if you aren't asking questions? Pastor Tye encourages us to ask the questions, that challenge the issues of our hearts.

In the the game of checkers, the phrase "king me" means you will have to give up one of the pieces from your side of the board. It's like giving of yourself. Many times believers try to do everything on their own strength, when the Lord is saying to us "King Me," so He can give of Himself to us. Pastor Tye shares with us how allowing the Lord to be King in your life makes you heirs to His perfecting power, protection and provision.

The negative patterns of our lives aren't always attacks of the enemy. Most times, they are the result of the lack of proper self evaluation and awareness! It's time to take off the mask and come face to face with our true selves as Pastor Tye encourages us to Start Asking Questions!

While everyone enjoys a party, the "after party" is where you go with your closest friends or family, to truthfully share how you felt about the main event. In church, the "party" may be the worship services and hearing the word of God...but the "after party" is how you live your life, once church is out. Reflecting on the days after Jesus' resurrection, Pastor Tye discusses how Jesus' followers initially felt and what they did, when the main event didn't go as they hoped.

The first time a question is asked in the Bible, is when the serpent asks Eve about eating of the tree of good and evil. With that question, the oneness Adam had with God was broken by sin entering the world. Now, it is up to us to start asking questions to examine ourselves, so we can avoid the judgment of God, as He restores us.

After sharing the secret of where his strength came from with Delila, Samson not only lost his strength, but was taken captive by his enemies. However, with the growth of his hair, came the return of his strength, as the Lord allowed him to overtake his enemies. Pastor Tye declares in his message, that if the devil doesn't kill you when you're down, then just know...that you're getting ready to bounce back.

When the Lord speaks His promises to us, it may take some time before we are able to see those promises come to pass. In those times, we must trust that the process He is leading us through, is preparing us for all He wants us to possess in this life; and beyond. Using the life of Abraham and the journey of the Isrealites to the Promise Land, Pastor Tye shows us why we must be prepared to fight with tenacity on the journey from Promise to Possession!

In Pastor Tye's continuation of his message on surrendering to God, he shares how our willingness to surrender, authorizes the Lord to make a shift in our lives. Surrender, is a game changer! With every surrender, there is new access for the Lord to take us to a higher level, so we don't have to settle for our lesser selves.

Raising a "white flag" is a symbol of surrender. When you surrender, you have to be willing to totally give up and or abandon whatever it is you've been holding on to or pursuing. During this special "White Flag Wednesday" service, Pastor Tye shares how the Lord doesn't want us to simply compromise, but wants us to surrender, so we can receive a manifold blessing in this life and the next.

Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba are women in the Bible with less than stellar pasts. Yet, they are the four women mentioned in the lineage of Jesus! Pastor Tye shows us why God didn't count them out, and He won't count you out either.

Many Christians observe Lent, which is the 40 days before Easter Sunday. They may chose to give up something or to fast from food, to focus on growing closer to the Lord. But it’s easy to forget, amid the “lent routine” that it’s not about the act of fasting; but your posture of heart when you fast. In his message, “Lent 4 Life,” Pastor Tye teaches us how to stay focused on the Lord, even after Lent season is over.
