The latest reporting of college football coaches and their salaries has Softy scratching his head with some of the names. Petros is on for his weekly visit and he, for some reason, refuses to go to the World Series games even though he is already at the stadium!! Textimonials give Petros a hard time and talk a bit about Dwight Freeney.
Rick Neuheisel is on for his weekly visit talking Huskies and all things college football. This week, a special focus on UCLA and how they matchup. Kevin Harlan calls in to talk Seahawks, NFL, QBs in the NFC, and a whole lot more. Softy visits with Doug Baldwin about his sideline "incident" with Tom Cable and how the offense looks. Lastly, we make fun of Marcus Trufant.
Softy, Dick Baird, and Hugh Millen talk all things Huskies every Tuesday at 3pm. Today they go over what the Huskies have in front of them in the UCLA Bruins, how they should come out of their bye week, and CTE (but not like most CTE conversations)
Softy is asking if the Seahawks have issues on the DL. Do they get enough pressure on the QB with the guys they have right now? Dwight Freeney might be a possibility, would he help? Jon Wilner from PAC12Hotline.com is on to talk Huskies, Cougars, and all things PAC12 football for his weekly visit. Lastly, Textimonials on the Huskies, Dwight Freeney, and confusing numbers.
Husky Football at 5 today features linebacker Keishawn Bierria on the bye week and how they are looking at UCLA for this Saturday. Mike Florio is on for his weekly visit talking all things NFL and today a special look at his time at KFC (seriously). Softy checks in with Curtis Crabtree on the Jeremy Lane tweets before our weekly chat with Walter Jones.
After a convincing win against the Giants, Softy is feeling GOOD about the Seahawks. Their defense is the big brother it needs to be and the offense is improving. The run game with Thomas Rawls is a topic along with the ups and downs of Jimmy Graham.
We listen in to the Pete Carroll press conference as Pete addresses the Giants game and what happened on the sidelines (among other things). We take a listen to the fourth Opponent Audio Recap of the season, this one from the Giants Radio Network. Husky Football at 5 is a check in on what Chris Petersen thinks about the Dawgs as they come out of their bye week.
Across the board, it seems like all of the "experts" say that the Seahawks will win this game. It doesn't seem like the confidence level in Seattle is quite as high. Softy analyzes some of the Seahawks issues with slow starts and their inability to score in the first quarter on the road. Nigel Burton joins the show to talk about what he's seeing with the Huskies through their first six games.
The Dodgers are going to the WS and Clayton Kershaw *says* he's considering retiring (but not really... obviously). Mike Leach is off his rocker as he is starting a social media movement to get his money back from Texas Tech. Warren Moon joins the show for his weekly chat on all things Seahawks. Textimonials give listeners a chance to weigh in on the Leach silliness.
Chris Fetters joins Softy for his weekly visit talking all things Huskies even though they are on their bye week. Softy checks in with an old friend as Mack Strong calls in to talk about his experience in leaving the NFL and how he sees Cliff Avril's situation. That's not all they do, though, as they talk some Seahawks from their slow starts to their game against the Giants. Marshawn Lynch is back in the news and he was naughty last night in Oakland. Curtis Crabtree joins the show to break down how the Hawks look heading to New York.
With the entire NFL seemingly average or right around it, Softy wonders if people are confident that the Seahawks are actually better than the rest. Joe Maddon's jockstrap was a topic of conversation (seriously). Lee Sterling makes his weekly picks.
Tune in for the Mike Holmgren show every Thursday with Softy at 4pm. Mike is brought to you by Geico, Tacoma Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, El Gaucho, 3010 Weight Loss for Life, Master Park Airport Valet Parking, Advanced Hair, Providence St. Joseph's Health, and Aging Options!
Cliff Avril's situation an example of the changing landscape of football. Softy has serious concerns about the O-Line and wonders if they might be in for a tough one on Sunday in New York against the Giants. We head out to the Big Apple to check in with Paul Dottino from WFAN on what is going on with Big Blue.
Softy heads to the Seahawks locker room to chat with Shaq Griffin about his first season with the Seahawks and how he has assimilated into the LOB. Petros is on for his weekly visit filled with nonsense, silliness, and some football. Textimonials tell Softy if he is off his rocker for being majorly concerned about the Hawks.
Wednesday last hour is always great as we kick off with Rick Neuheisel on the Huskies and college football. Kevin Harlan is on the show to talk about the Seahawks and NFL but we can't ignore the fact that the NBA season started last night and he was there when Gordon Hayward had a pretty horrific injury. Softy chats with Jake Browning from the Dawgs and we listen in to Hugh Millen freaking out (with a special slowed down edition, too).
