We placed some goodness into a microphone and then made it available here! Listen as we spill the beans on the season finale of Silicon Valley, show off some cool, interlocking Gravity Falls Blind Bags and talk the AMC show Into the Badlands. After Calculated Comics with Kolb (our favorite) and his introduction to Lobster Johnson, Vol. 1: Iron Prometheus, we jump into talk of the iOS game Blackbox, the film Baby Driver and the game Widower's Wood. Tune out that hum in your drum with a listen.
This week we are pleased as pie to be talking to the proficient and ever-encouraging Scotty Russell! For the last 3 years, Scotty has been producing a piece of content every week while practicing his hand-lettering daily. The results of this intentional practice definitely show when you dive into his work. Additionally, Scotty is the host of the Perspective Podcast where he encourages artists to go build something with their creativity. It's a great interview with a guy you need to know about!
Hey friends and family and friends! Join us for another sit around the table as we talk the new Spider-Gwen print from Mondo, the Metalhead 2 print from layout.ink and the kick-off of the SquaredCo Podcast featuring Emm_Squared and Jerrod Maruyama. After the jump provided by our friends from Castpro.io, we talk Lupinball, Wonder Woman and the Patreon re-brand. Woo-hoo it's a good one.
This week we're jumping into the proverbial kitchen and learning how the proverbial sauce is made. Fun fact #1: the name comes from a bowl of ink sitting on a table. Or counter. Did you like that fact? Learn a bunch more about the amazing work Nick and the crew at Mama's Sauce are doing. They are reaching into the past to better collaborate with designers now while keeping an eye on the future. This is a good one.
We're in a hurry to get things done. Why? Because we love Alabama and you need to know about this stuff now! Around the table we talk DEW.S.A., Vulfpeck, the Switch and birthdays. After the jump we give the run-down of the first two days of E3, get hyped for Project Gorgon (even if it is ugly), and talk season 5 of House of Cards and the back on Hulu show Gravity Falls. Dig it!
I hate we waited so long to talk to the man himself, Mister Mark Brickey. Mark is the host of arguably the best subversive pop-culture podcast around. The man produces 200 high-quality episodes every year and talks to the giants of the creative world. We get a chance to talk with Mark about the path that led him where he is today and listen as he shares advice rooted deeply in personal experience. This is one for the books.
Creative South Live Episode 27: Luke Lefevre
Creative South Live Episode 28: Blake Stevenson
We have have been interrupted but you'll never know! Today we start strong with talk of ARMS, Star Realms, Reimagine Conference and communication compression. We follow it up with the Gand Outdoors Spec work and why it's bad for your health, the decently ugly Kaiju Ninja Turtles figure Andrew just bought along with Penny Press and struggle across the finish line with some talk of the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia pilot. Decent!
As Trevor from The Whitest Kids You Know would say, It's Saturday!!! Except it's Friday and today we are chatting with letterer Shauna Panczyszyn! Shauna, in response to circumstances outside of her control, has embraced the freelance lifestyle while also finding unique ways of managing stress and incorporating other loves. In addition to talk of streaming for Adobe, Shauna unveils her latest project, Simple Thoughts Co!
