THE DAY BEFORE I POSTED THIS VIDEO, Wouxun replied to an email that I had sent them, and told me that they were updating the total contact capacity to 160,000! So that adds quite a bit of value to this radio. I will begin working on a Part 2 to this video, showing how to update firmware and hopefully load contacts from a Spreadsheet.Purchase the Wouxun KG-UVN1 Here: http://www.wouxun.com/m/radio/KG-UVN1...Be sure to subscribe for more Ham Radio video: https://goo.gl/6hjh2JIf you want to support me, follow my Patreon link: https://goo.gl/FkESU6Livestreams on the first Saturday of every month, and from many Hamfests: http://hamradio2.com/livestream

I've been waiting to update the firmware on this Kenwood TH-D74a until I had time to do it on a video. It is quite a simple process and shouldn't take you more than 10-minutes. Finally one of the “Big 4” manufacturers is making a DMR Radio for Amateur Use. Alinco has done a good job of taking a radio and adding to it what Hams have been asking for. I think this radio is probably one of the top Dual Band DMR HTs I have used, to date.Be sure to subscribe for more Ham Radio video: https://goo.gl/6hjh2JIf you want to support me, follow my Patreon link: https://goo.gl/FkESU6Be sure to support my sponsors, who make this series possible:https://gifts4hams.comhttps://houstonhamfest.orghttps://www.randl.comAlso checkout my new channel for Texas Based Craft Beer: https://goo.gl/h14FTV

How To Write an Image to a Micro SD Card for a Raspberry Pi from a Windows computer. This is an easy process for writing a bootable image to a micro-SD card, and then using that card as the OS for a Raspberry Pi. This isn't the only way to write a bootable image, but it does work and works well. The newest Dual Band DMR HT from Retevis is the RT-52. With a dark screen and white fonts, this radio has a unique look from the start. The codeplug file is a different format from other Retevis radios, but I suspect you will be seeing more of these radios soon.More info on the RT52: https://bit.ly/Ham-RT52Be sure to subscribe for more Ham Radio video: https://goo.gl/6hjh2J
