Dr. Mark Aoyagi is a Senior Consultant, Sport & Performance Excellence Consultants; Director of Sport & Performance Psychology, Univ. of Denver Graduate School of Professional Psychology. He works with NFL, NHL and NBA teams. Dr. Brian Gearity has been the director of the Master of Arts in Sport Coaching program at Denver since 2014. Before teaching at Denver, Dr. Gearity spent five years at the University of Southern Mississippi as an assistant professor of Sport Coaching Education. As a coach, Dr. Gearity’s specialty is in the strength and conditioning side. Dr. Gearity worked as a strength coach at the University of Tennessee for nine years and received his PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from Tennessee in 2009. Joe Kasper joined the Duke coaching staff in March of 2018 and serves as an assistant coach to Coach Cutcliffe working quarterbacks after spending the previous season working with defensive backs. Prior to joining the Blue Devil staff, Kasper coached the wide receivers at John Carroll University during the 2017 campaign and directed the defensive backs at his alma mater, Mentor (Ohio) High School, in 2015-16. He also has previous experience with the NFL’s Cleveland Browns, serving as a Player Personnel and Development Assistant from 2013-15. Kasper lettered three seasons on the gridiron at Baldwin Wallace University and earned Capital One Academic All-America honors before graduating in 2015 with a degree in political science. He currently is an owner in Ace Performance which focuses on the mental performance aspects of sport. Darrell Royal was University of Texas Head Coach from 1957-1976. He also was head coach at Mississippi State and Washington. He won three national championships with a career record of 184-60-5. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1983. In Royal's 20 years as head coach, Texas never had a losing season. In 1963, Royal wrote a book, Darrell Royal Talks Football, and it is packed with football wisdom. Without a single diagram in the book, it is coaching knowledge that is timeless.
