China's "social credit" system purports to rank citizens according to their behavior, trustworthiness, and adherence to the law. Political dissent results in a lower "social credit" score and a reduction in privileges. The system is enforced by hundreds of millions of cameras throughout the country using facial recognition software. On the day Secretary of State Mike Pompeo certified that the Saudi-UAE coalition was doing everything possible to avoid civilian casualties in its war on Yemen, the Saudis hit another civilian bus, killing at least 15. Last month the Saudis attacked another civilian bus killing at least 40 children. The US government is a partner with the Saudis and is complicit in the slaughter of civilians. Congress complains, but does nothing...

This week's announcement by the Trump Administration that the PLO office in Washington would be closed as a punishment to the Palestinians is another in a recent series of Washington moves against the Palestinians - while claiming the mantle of "honest broker."
