The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has extended the Special Election Period (SEP) for Medicare Beneficiaries affected by the California Wildfires to March 31, 2018.
Currently, it is the Medicare Advantage Plan "Disenrollment Period." The current Disenrollment Period runs from January 1st through February 14th each year. During this time, you can "drop" your Medicare Advantage Plan and go back onto Original Medicare.
