Boston Herald Columnist Steve Buckley joins the show to set the record on why his old, seemingly outdated stats and facts are relevant in today's baseball conversations. He also reflects on the some of the masterful performance from last year's Old Time Baseball Game, which he puts on every year in Cambridge, MA. This year it will take place on August 16 and will benefit the American Heart Association and features a few former Boston athletes that Buck discusses in this week's episode. He also reflects on his reporting from the post-World War II reform in Europe.

Zack Short -- also known as Shorty because baseball people are GREAT at coming up with nicknames -- took some time from his trip down in Jacksonville to hop on. If you've never heard a minor leaguer talk about the 8-hour bus rides before, just know Shorty's not an accurate representation of the average minor leaguer. But, if you want an idea of what these young hitters go through as they develop at the minor league level, Short's studies the game as much as anyone. And does a pretty good job explaining what he's learned and seen.
