 Episode 221 – Natty Knocks/Cheerleader Camp | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:01:53

Do you ever just... stare off into the void and wonder what the world has in store for us? Like... Where do we go when all this ends? What is the purpose of our existence? We continue these thoughts on the afterlife in Real World Horror, where we take a look at 49ers quarterback Sam Darnold's harrowing experience with the other side when he stayed in teammate George Kittle's possibly haunted pool house. In Horror Business, we instead look at the undead with a new Korean reality show pitting everyday Joes and Janes against hordes of zombies, as well as a reboot of Return of the Living Dead. We also head to the UK for FrightFest and Ted Raimi's new film, flip through the pages of an American Psycho comic book, and come back to the states to explore the Mall of America's haunted attraction. For our film reviews, we grab our pom poms and megaphones and do a little rah-rah-rah for the 1988 slasher film Cheerleader Camp. We then close out with the new flick featuring horror royalty, Natty Knocks, starring Bill Moseley, Danielle Harris, and Robert Englund. So stuff that ennui down next to your nihilism and waste away the next couple hours of your life with a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast.

 Episode 220 – Malignant/The Retaliators (Patreon picks) | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:38:03

One of us, one of us, gooble gobble, one of us! We let our Patreon patrons, aka Grave Diggers, pick these episode's movies! The selections ultimately were James Wan's Malignant as well as the nu-metal-artist-laden bloody thriller The Retaliators. So... yeah. THANKS, GUYS. Before we do that, however, we gotta talk Horror Business. In Real World Horror, we relay the story of someone else's story about maybe seeing a Mothman or a ghost or a little green ghoul. Or maybe a barn owl. We move on to discuss a new Texas Chainsaw Massacre board game, how everything is better with (Kevin) Bacon, and a sci-fi thriller featuring the stars of From Dusk Till Dawn and Breaking Bad. We then take a trip to the *dark web* and examine the possibility of a sequel to this month's new Haunted Mansion movie. So buckle up, buttercup, and get ready for the ride of your life.

 Episode 219 – Friday the 13th/Aliens | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:15:34

Hey party people. Who's ready to rock and roll? Let's kick off the festivities with a Real World Horror story about human trafficking, except the humans are dead and it's just parts. We then discuss a drug kingpin joining a mysterious Universal monster movie, plus a new resident of Hawkins, Indiana, a film based on a thriller novel, and the latest updates on Swamp Thing. We then close out Horror Business with a Hannibal reunion. For our film reviews, we take a look at a couple classics. We held our first ever Final Fear tournament on social media and narrowed 16 of the best horror films of all time and narrowed it down to two. First up is the winner of the Slasher division, the name amongst names, the iconic Friday the 13th. We then blast off into outer space to examine the winner of the Sci-Fi division, James Cameron's Aliens. So grab a can of your favorite beverage and let's get this party started.

Episode 218 – The Third Saturday in October/The Third Saturday in October: Part V | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:52:27

It's the (checks calendar) second Wednesday in June so what better day to celebrate The Third Saturday in October? We talk about college football, spaceman sheriffs, and chainsaws to the face as we examine the new throwback slasher series. First up we examine part five, and follow that up with part one. Trust us, it makes sense. Just listen. Before we get to that, we of course have to take care of Horror Business! In Real World Horror, we take a look at a home invading #FloridaMan who may or may not be a ghost. We then discuss a couple of upcoming trilogies, namely Terrifier and Hocus Pocus, as well as a reboot of the Leprechaun franchise, a horror movie from an iconic musical Diva, and a new video game from John Carpenter. So put on your jersey and your face paint and prepare for some good, old fashioned football, fun, and fatalities. WAR DAMN SEAHAWK!

 Episode 216 – Evil Dead Rise/Poltergeist III | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:58:30

Here you'll be able to hear stories about the new Exorcist movie, a creepy game featuring Tony Todd, and a novel adaptation coming from Sam Raimi. Also included is a new project for the incomparable Bruce Campbell, plus an update on the future of the Evil Dead franchise. Speaking of Evil Dead, on the top floor you'll hear our thoughts on the new film Evil Dead Rise, which takes the demons out of the woods and into downtown L.A. While we're discussing horror in a high rise, we also discuss the 1988 film Poltergeist III, where Carol Anne and Kane take their rivalry to the big city. So get in or take the stairs, and we'll meet you at the penthouse for an all new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

 Episode 215 – Renfield/Vampire’s Kiss | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:37:09

This episode bites. It also sucks. It's also completely bonkers, because it's our Fangs Out, Cage Out episode! Believe it or not, we've got two Nicolas Cage vampire movies! Or at least... sort of vampire movies. I mean... hang on, let's come back to that. First, let's talk about some Horror Business, including the most terrifying Real World Horror story we've ever discussed and not in a fun way. In more light-hearted news, we talk about some upcoming Stranger Things properties, a small screen version of The Conjuring, and the cast of MaXXXine is revealed. We also examine a mystery Universal Monsters movie on the docket, as well as yet another installment in the Amityville universe. Okay, so about those movies. First up, is Vampire's Kiss, featuring Nicolas Cage maybe being a vampire or maybe being a psychopath, but definitely being peak Nicolas Cage. Next up is the brand new Renfield, where Cage is not just definitely a vampire, he's THE vampire, Dracula! So close the drapes, climb in your coffin, and sink your teeth into a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

 Episode 214 – Malum/Last Shift | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:56:42

Warning: This episode contains AI, bad celebrity impressions, greasy pillow cases, and other nonsense not suitable for all audiences! Pregnant women and people with heart conditions should proceed with caution! We kick off the show as we often do, by talking about Real World Horror in Central America. This time, an alien body was found in Bolivia! Where did it come from? Where did it go? Where did it come from, Cotton Eyed Joe? Then, in Horror Business, we take a look at the true story of the Amityville horrors, as well as an equally haunted bar in Mississippi that may or may not be a strip club and may or may not contain horny dancing ghosts. We also discuss the next film from David Cronenberg, a new version of The X-Files, and a VR game based on one of our film reviews. DID SOMEONE SAY FILM REVIEWS? We've got a classic battle of old vs new this episode, with a compare and contrast of Anthony DiBlasi's Last Shift, as well as the brand new remake (also done by DiBlasi), Malum. Which is better? Which is worse? Why? We won't answer any of these questions, but we will talk about our idea for a movie based on a haunted taco truck! Climb aboard The Grave Plot Podcast!

 Episode 213 – Unwelcome/You Are Not My Mother | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:33:56

Top o' the mornin' to ya! We hope you've got your green on because it's our annual St. Patrick's Day episode, highlighting horror films from the Emerald Isle! This episode is filled with bad accents and fueled by Irish whiskey. Before we get to the pot o' gold, though, we've gotta travel down the rainbow known as Horror Business. Up first is Real World Horror, all about a "terrifying" ghost train barrelling through a town in London the UK. Up next we discuss Jeremy London returning to films and making his horror debut with the film Bone Face, as well as Guillermo Del Toro making his own version of a classic monster, the return of Slasher, and a remake of a controversial film from the 70s. We close out the segment with a story about a card game based on John Carpenter's classic film They Live. We then head to the motherland for our film reviews. Up first is the 2023 film Unwelcome, featuring trolls or goblins or leprechauns or little green ghouls. Whatever they are, they're nasty lil' buggers. We then discuss the 2021 film You Are Not My Mother, about a young girl and a creature who may or may not be her mother (hint: the name of the film). So grab a pint or a shot or both and get ready to party with the Grave Plot Podcast!

 Episode 212 – Infinity Pool/Sorry About the Demon | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:58:14

Yo baby, lemme holler at you. We've got that sweet sassy molassy with a brand new episode to put in your ears. First up, we talk about some Real World Horror, where we openly question why science continually tries to make human beings obsolete and start the robot apocalypse. In less terrifying, but still scary, news, we talk about the upcoming film that is somewhere in The Exorcist timeline, as well as a potential resurrection of the Poltergeist franchise. We then talk about a film we won't see, a Stranger Things stage show we won't see, and finally a film adaptation of Dead by Daylight that we probably won't see either. This all ends up with a tirade about diet horror, date night horror, whatever you want to call this trend of trying to make horror for people who don't like horror. That's not to say that comedy horror is a bad thing. In fact, for our first film review we talk about a well made romantic comedy possession film, Sorry About the Demon. We then take a trip to the exotic land of Li Tolqa to take a dip in the Infinity Pool with Alexander Skarsgård and Mia Goth. Come get your love.

 Episode 211 – Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey/Night of the Bastard | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:48:07

** We made an oopsie with the sound on this one. Hopefully it's not too bad. -Tony** Hey ho, let's go. We're back again with a brand new batch of Horror Business, starting off with Real World Horror. We head to the Philippines to investigate the multiple reports of supernatural beings, including the elusive manananggal. In the world of fiction, we discuss a new legacy sequel of I Know What You Did Last Summer, as well as a new animated Resident Evil movie. We then take a look at a new survival horror video game inspired by the Saw movies. We then head to New Jersey for Crystal Lake Tours, featuring a ton of Friday the 13th alumni to camp out with fans. Finally, we break down the remake of the film Night Shift. For our film reviews, we first examine the low budget cult film Night of the Bastard, which is not about PAC or ODB but instead is about a group of Satanists looking to bring on the apocalypse. Before they are successful, we better take a trip to Hundred Acre Wood to meet a silly old bear named Winnie-the-Pooh in the fairytale-turned-slasher Blood and Honey. But Pooh and Piglet too have grown up to become ruthless killers. Oh, bother. So grab some hunny and curl up with a brand new episode of The Grave Plot Podcast!

 Episode 210 – Scare Package II: Rad Chad’s Revenge/Candy Land | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:13:37

We then break down Joe Bob's next special as well as the latest in the Subspecies franchise. Then, in our film reviews, we take a trip back to Rad Chad's Horror Emporium for the horror-comedy anthology sequel Scare Package II: Rad Chad's Revenge. Up next is the bloody crime thriller Candy Land. It's got sex, stabbing, and the second-best Baldwin. So come with me, and you'll see, a world of imagination with The Grave Plot Podcast.

We've also got a story about what's likely to be on next year's Christmas episode, the independent horror Santastein. We also discuss casting updates to Five Nights at Freddy's, a new wrestling themed horror movie, and a new zombie comedy coming to Amazon. We then take a look at what Joe Begos is up to next. Speaking of Begos, we've got a lot of thoughts on his fright filled festive film Christmas Bloody Christmas, plus the biblical mind trip known as The Leech. Both films feature Jeremy Gardner and Graham Skipper, as well as a ton of holiday cheer. Or fear. So come along for a sleigh ride with The Grave Plot Podcast. It's better than a lump of coal!

 Episode 208 – Don’t Fuck in the Woods 1 & 2 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:30:44

Gather 'round, kiddies, and hear a tale. A tale of sex, debauchery, and murder most foul. Actually... wait. Hold that thought. First let's talk about some Real World Horror. With all the recent issues with police killing people in the streets, perhaps it's time to finally ask: should we employ robot police... to kill people in the streets? San Francisco says yes. From the makers of Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey and Peter Pan: Neverland Nightmare comes the latest fairy tale horror, Bambi: The Reckoning. Yes, these are all very real movies. We also want to tell you about one of our favorite horror directors moving studios, and what project he's looking to tackle next. We then talk about Saw 10 and Scream 6 because I guess we have to. Now, about that tale... well, let me start off with some advice. DON'T, and I mean do not, I repeat... Don't Fuck in the Woods. You never know what kind of sex-hating tree monster or mutant slug is hiding in the trees, ready to slash your throat or just climb down inside it and turn you into a bloodthirsty ghoul. Now run along and play, it's time for the grown ups to have some alone time.

 Episode 207 – Barbarian/My Best Friend’s Exorcism | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:53:26

In Horror Business, we talk about Paramount and Universal going all in on horror with new hires and a merger of genre giants. We also discuss new books based on the series Are You Afraid of the Dark? as well two small-screen horror prequels, namely Crystal Lake and Welcome to Derry. For our film reviews, we discuss the coming-of-age possession film My Best Friend's Exorcism, featuring Bash Howard as an 80s fitness guru for God as well as some teenage demon drama.
