Nach nun mehr als zwei Jahren haben wir uns entschlossen neue Kunst zu propagieren. Zum einen schmückt das legendäre Fukkk Offf-Plakat in bester Jugendstiloptik (Mai 2012) immer noch die ein oder andere Wand von uns, zum anderen wurde es auch Zeit unser Artwork und auch Logo zu überholen. Daraus folgt: Art Nouveau! Unser Relaunch muss natürlich mehr als gefeiert werden! Deswegen haben wir uns wieder sehr spannende Künstler eingeladen. So zum Beispiel Strip Steve, der sich mit Songs wie Stomp oder Radiocheck voll und ganz in unser Konfettiherz gespielt hat. Aber auch The/Das, dem Zweitprojekt von zwei der drei Bodi Bills, dessen Clubtauglichkeit von uns bereits überprüft wurde. Weiterhin freuen wir uns sehr über die Zusage von Jens Bond, der uns zuletzt in Warschau so dermaßen die Socken ausgezogen hat, dass es endlich mal wieder Zeit ihn auch auf die restliche Ex!t-Meute loszulassen. Ein weiteres Highlight ist definitiv der erste Dj-Gig von Jiggler. Hinter diesem geheimnisvollen Pseudonym verbirgt sich die eine Hälfte von Channel X und wir sind mehr als froh, dass er sich dafür entschieden hat sein offizielles Dj-Debüt bei uns zu feiern. Darüber hinaus wird es zum ersten Mal einen geheimen Delta-Floor von und mit unseren lieben Freunden vom Weird Vision-Kollektiv geben. Wir sind jetzt schon wahnsinnig aufgeregt, denn wir freuen uns riesig auf ein fettes Line Up, auf die Ritter Butzke, auf unsere Schnapsrakete, auf viel Konfetti, auf unsere Photobox und natürlich auf euch! The four-piece instrumental electronica group known as Somasphere formed in 2006, and quickly became known in Lincoln, Omaha, and surrounding areas for energetic live shows that combine the dance floor sensibilities of DJ culture with the performance capabilities of rock music. Their unique approach centers on solid danceable rhythms created by the use of both traditional and electronic drum kits. The flow of these distinct, yet equally energetic sources, allows the band to traverse the spectrum of grooves and tempos ranging from steady house, hard-hitting breaks and intense jungle, to mid-tempo and hip hop. In any of these styles, Somasphere always brings the low-end deep and dirty using both bass guitar and synth. While the rhythm section is powerful, many of the sonic textures that have come to define the band’s sound center on melodies created by both guitar and laptop based sample manipulation. These disparate elements combine to create a sound that is equally at home in the headphones or on a packed dance floor.
