Our response to God’s love includes building relationships. From the Scripture we get a sense of community that includes the intentional development of meaningful relationships, based on God’s purpose & principles, resulting in each person having a sense of belonging, acceptance, and significance. We are choosing to love each other in the way that Jesus loves […]
“Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.” Ephesians 3:17b Love gives a changed life and not one where you are left alone. It is possible to grow in your understanding of God’s love for you, to experience it, and share it with others.
God’s love for us is selfless. There is an encouragement from this, in Jesus. There is a life that is better than living “Me First”, where we put God and others above our own desire to look good, feel good, be right, and stay in control.
God’s love for us is kind. It is both pleasant and practical. It is good and good for you.
You’ve heard it said, “Love is patient.” What does that mean? It figuratively means “taking a long time to boil”. There is life changing encouragement here.
God’s love for us is faithful – every day – all day, without fail, never giving up, never losing faith, always hopeful, enduring through every circumstance. And so John wrote, “We know what real love is because Jesus gave up His life for us.” So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and […]
When we learn more about God’s love, we can better receive it, be changed by it, and bring it to others.
Today we celebrate our 6th anniversary as a church. Let’s talk about Jesus as we look back on the last year and forward to reveal plans for 2017. As we finish our 21 days of prayer & fasting we listen to what God is saying to us as a church.
David wrote, “I know the Lord is always with me. I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.” “You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever.” Psalm 16:8, 11 To enjoy God’s presence we must recognize that He is […]
This recording will bring you into our gathering, you can hear the verses, and join us in prayer for others and our city.
How you start each day has a direct impact on how you will respond to what comes of the day. How you start 2017 may have a significant impact on how you live throughout the year. At the beginning of every year as a church we are going without meats & sweets (at least) for 21 days to be […]
Let’s look at four benefits of receiving Jesus as the gift.
Reading the Christmas Story can raise your level of joy. Jesus is powerful enough to bring us real change and human enough to understand us. Jesus is an expression of God’s love, sent to save us from our sin, our mistakes, the disorder in our hearts.
Last week we talked about personal peace found in a relationship with Jesus. As we turn toward the Christmas season, let us take a look at the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:1-16 which lists four women who responded to hurt with faith in God as their Deliverer. They said, “Our hope is in You. […]
It’s helpful to do a “peace” check up every once in a while. We open up Philippians 4:4-9 and talk about personal peace. Also, we look at the “Serenity Prayer” and asking God for the strength to submit to His will.
