The Talmud, Gemara Brachot-59B The Talmud is a central text of Rabbinic Judaism. The Talmud has two components.The first part is the Mishnah, the written compendium of Judaisms Oral Torah Instruction, The second part is the Gemara, an elucidation of the Mishnah and related Tannaitic writings that often ventures onto other subjects and expounds broadly on the Jewish Bible. At first, the lessons were transcribed and distributed as handwritten booklets. In 5565, the Rebbes foremost disciple, Reb Natan, began collecting the discourses and in 5569, the first printing of the book took place in the city, Ostraha, Ukraine. The Rebbe said that this book is the beginning of the Redemption.
