Seahawks salary cap 101 with Davis Hsu on Field Gulls Radio | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:30:00

We're joined tonight by FieldGulls.com's resident cap expert on the Seattle Seahawks. He asked if he could come on to bust some common myths, and drop some additional knowledge on everyone. How is the offseason salary cap calculated? Ever wished you knew a quick trick to calculate your teams cap on a napkin? Davis is going to answer questions like these, along with going into detail on terms like these:   "Dead money""Cap versus cash""Pro-ration""Staggered contracts" There's a ton of information coming on tonights show, so get out your notepads and get ready to fill your brains with some of that salary cap stew Davis has been cooking up for a few years now.   Don't be surprised if we hit you with a few of those gems from Pete Prisco on Russell Wilson from last week either, time permitting.

Seahawks punter Jon Ryan joins Field Gulls Radio for an interview | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 00:24:00

We go deep tonight, launching a probe into the "Canadian blood theory" with the man of the maple leaf, Jon Ryan. This won't be your normal interview, we will pull absolutely no punches tonight. The truth will come out. Who goes back for seconds in the cafeteria? Who is your favorite punter? Are you a dual citizen? How hard was the test to get US citizenship really? What's Canada like? What was it like to play William Wallace's best friend in Braveheart? While it may be rare for we here at Field Gulls Radio to get the chance to show off our true investigative prowess, we're just going to have fun with it instead. I mean, it's the offseason... the Seahawks are losing players left and right. Even Paul Mcquistan left, guys. PAUL MCQUISTAN. We want to have some fun with Jon, and I've got word he's not a super serious guy so it should go over well.

FieldGulls Radio: The one about free agency | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:55:00

This week's episode - our first since the Superbowl - is going to be a good one. We'll have Will Cornell on to give us the scoop on the much anticipated fourth episode in the Rain City documentary series. We will also be joined by (hopefully) Brian Nemhauser of Hawkblogger.com to talk free agency. Who do you want the Hawks to snag? How do you feel about the Golden Tate departure? As we do every week, we'll invite your thoughts and questions via phone or twitter. Call in at (646) 716-5420 The plan currently is to close the show with a visit from Chris Sullivan. The head man of the long dead and gone, but not forgotten Seahawks blog 30AcreFortress.

FieldGulls Radio: Superbowl XLVIII Edition - Part II | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 03:00:00

This Sunday the Seattle Seahawks will go up against the prettiest passing game the NFL has ever seen. Peyton Manning shattered the NFL record for passing touchdowns in a season and also won the crown in terms of single season yardage. The Hawks' defensive backfield should prove to be a worthy opponent however... it looks to be one of the best matchups in some time. This week we'll welcome writer Jacson Bevens on to talk about the prospects of outdoor Superbowls in the future and get his thoughts on the game. Fieldgulls.com editor Danny Kelly will join us at 3:15 to share some X's and O's as well as to serve up his prediction on how to game will finish. We'll have Jacob Stevens on to put a wrap on the thoughts he shared in part one of our preview last week. Local psuedo-celeb "Sonics Guy" will join us as well to share his feelings on all things Seahawks. Brandon Adams will join us and fill everyone in on what he's been up to since he shut down 17Power.com And last but SURELY not least, we were able to snag an actual athlete; former all-pro linebacker Chad Brown. Chad spent 8 years with Seattle in the last 90's and early 2000's. He'll talk about the evolution of the Superbowl media week over the last 20 years, the Hawks linebackers, and give a prediction for Sunday! You won't be disappointed, we swear! Make sure to give us a look on twitter at @WalterSeahawk and @ThePatton for some gameday chatter!

FieldGulls Radio: Superbowl XLVIII Edition - Part I | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:30:00

Make sure to listen in on Part II of our preview. Hot off the presses. 3 hours of PURE SEAHAWKS BRONCOS PREVIEW GOLD right here. We delve into the glorious victory over the San Fransisco 49ers this past Sunday, analyzing as much of it as we can, from the opening fumble to the monumental final play of the Niners' last series. We'll be having a few guests on. Jacob Stevens from our very own FieldGulls.com will be joining us at 7 to give his initial impressions of the (SUPERBOWL!!!) matchup with the Broncos. Then at 7:30 we'll have Steve Ryan on, the little brother of our superhuman punter, to hopefully give us some insight into what made Jon Ryan the mega boot he is. Worst case, he'll tell us an embarassing story or two. If you have any questions for Steve or Jacob send them into us on twitter @FieldGullsRadio, we'll do what we can to get any and all submissions on the air! We look forward to having you all along for the ride. One short week away from history!!

 Twelve's Company: NFC Championship edition | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:30:00

This week the Seahawks face their new biggest opponent of the year. 60 minutes of football, and the San Fransisco 49ers left between them and the Superbowl. We'll run through last weeks 23-15 win over the New Orleans Saints, including but not limited to that really awful attempt at a latteral by Marques Colston. We'll cover the injury situation as it currently sits. KJ Wright and Percy Harvin are both still in major question, if not just straight doubtful. We'll have Jeff Vandersnick on to give us a view from the Bay Area. He's a staff writer for 49ers360.com so I'm certain he both knows a good bit about the team in red and gold, and doesn't care much for the Hawks. We also want to promote a really cool thing that's happening amongst the two teams fanbases. A charity contest, basically speaking. We'll cover it in more detail on the show, but here are the links you need. Seahawks fans Niners fans It should be a pretty good show. Oh and by the way, we'd really like to hear from anyone who's got some odd sort of gameday superstition and/or tradition. Have to make ribs at home for the Hawks to win? Gameday socks? Can't shower two days before the game? Gross... Two days till kickoff guys! Get pumped!

 Twelve's Company - Divisional Round Edition! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:30:00

Week 17 Twelves Company with Joe McAtee from Turf Show Times | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:30:00

For the week seventeen preview we are going to have Joe McAtee - Turf Show Times resident podcaster - on to help us look forward to Sunday's matchup against the Rams. I'm going to read him an opinion I found on Facebook from a Rams fan that I have a feeling he won't like - I'm hoping we get a mini tirade out of him. We'll likely have a visit from Field Gulls most famous editor, Danny Kelly. He'll try to talk Corax off a ledge after last week, or they'll jump off together... who knows I want to air my thoughts on Percy Harvin, quickly thought I promise. In a last ditch effort to do something Christmas-y  I'm inviting everyone to call in at (646) 716-5420  and share the worst gift they've ever received, or given to someone else. PG-13 only guys! It's the last week of the regular season, the Seahawks are one win away from locking down homefield in the playoffs, times are good. Join in on the celebration!

Week 16 Twelve's Company with Jess Root from Revenge of the Birds | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:23:00

This week's show will kick off with a look back at the GIANT bite the Seahawks took out of the Big Apple last week. We'll follow that up with a visit from Jesse Root, the editor of SB Nation's Arizona Cardinals blog "Revenge of the Birds" to talk about this week's opponent. We'll finish the show with some talk about the whole Brandon Browner situation, and any calls the audience might have. You can always join in on the discussion via twitter or phone! EDIT: A link to the DVOA discussion Patton referenced during the show. A must watch.

 Week 15 Twelves Company | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:30:00

We'll have a couple of guest hosts for the week 15 show: Corax and Patton Richard In this weeks episode we'll start by running through the Seahawks loss to the 49ers last week, then move on to some pre-recorded audio from an interview with Fieldgulls' own Jared Stanger talking NFL draft stuff. We'll have Ed Valentine on the show. He's the editor for Big Blue View, SB Nation's New York Giants site. He should be able to fill everyone in on whats going on with the Giants right now. As always we'll respond to any twitter activity directed at us. You can find us at @12sCompany
