We're joined tonight by FieldGulls.com's resident cap expert on the Seattle Seahawks. He asked if he could come on to bust some common myths, and drop some additional knowledge on everyone. How is the offseason salary cap calculated? Ever wished you knew a quick trick to calculate your teams cap on a napkin? Davis is going to answer questions like these, along with going into detail on terms like these:   "Dead money""Cap versus cash""Pro-ration""Staggered contracts" There's a ton of information coming on tonights show, so get out your notepads and get ready to fill your brains with some of that salary cap stew Davis has been cooking up for a few years now.   Don't be surprised if we hit you with a few of those gems from Pete Prisco on Russell Wilson from last week either, time permitting.

We go deep tonight, launching a probe into the "Canadian blood theory" with the man of the maple leaf, Jon Ryan. This won't be your normal interview, we will pull absolutely no punches tonight. The truth will come out. Who goes back for seconds in the cafeteria? Who is your favorite punter? Are you a dual citizen? How hard was the test to get US citizenship really? What's Canada like? What was it like to play William Wallace's best friend in Braveheart? While it may be rare for we here at Field Gulls Radio to get the chance to show off our true investigative prowess, we're just going to have fun with it instead. This Sunday the Seattle Seahawks will go up against the prettiest passing game the NFL has ever seen. Peyton Manning shattered the NFL record for passing touchdowns in a season and also won the crown in terms of single season yardage. The Hawks' defensive backfield should prove to be a worthy opponent however... it looks to be one of the best matchups in some time. This week we'll welcome writer Jacson Bevens on to talk about the prospects of outdoor Superbowls in the future and get his thoughts on the game. Fieldgulls.com editor Danny Kelly will join us at 3:15 to share some X's and O's as well as to serve up his prediction on how to game will finish. We'll have Jacob Stevens on to put a wrap on the thoughts he shared in part one of our preview last week. Local psuedo-celeb "Sonics Guy" will join us as well to share his feelings on all things Seahawks. Brandon Adams will join us and fill everyone in on what he's been up to since he shut down 17Power.com And last but SURELY not least, we were able to snag an actual athlete; former all-pro linebacker Chad Brown. Chad spent 8 years with Seattle in the last 90's and early 2000's. He'll talk about the evolution of the Superbowl media week over the last 20 years, the Hawks linebackers, and give a prediction for Sunday! You won't be disappointed, we swear! This week the Seahawks face their new biggest opponent of the year. 60 minutes of football, and the San Fransisco 49ers left between them and the Superbowl. We'll run through last weeks 23-15 win over the New Orleans Saints, including but not limited to that really awful attempt at a latteral by Marques Colston. We'll cover the injury situation as it currently sits. KJ Wright and Percy Harvin are both still in major question, if not just straight doubtful. We'll have Jeff Vandersnick on to give us a view from the Bay Area. He's a staff writer for 49ers360.com so I'm certain he both knows a good bit about the team in red and gold, and doesn't care much for the Hawks. We also want to promote a really cool thing that's happening amongst the two teams fanbases. A charity contest, basically speaking. We'll cover it in more detail on the show, but here are the links you need. Seahawks fans Niners fans It should be a pretty good show. Oh and by the way, we'd really like to hear from anyone who's got some odd sort of gameday superstition and/or tradition. Have to make ribs at home for the Hawks to win? Gameday socks? I'm going to read him an opinion I found on Facebook from a Rams fan that I have a feeling he won't like - I'm hoping we get a mini tirade out of him. We'll likely have a visit from Field Gulls most famous editor, Danny Kelly. He'll try to talk Corax off a ledge after last week, or they'll jump off together... who knows I want to air my thoughts on Percy Harvin, quickly thought I promise.
