God always answers our prayers -- but He doesn't always answer them the way we'd like! When we find ourselves in trouble and we ask God for help, Scripture tells us He'll answer. But too often we get tired of waiting on Him and we instead try to solve the problem our own way, which only makes things worse. When we pray with a willingness to obey, no matter what His answer is, He'll guide us out of the woods.
Many false gods have been conjured up in the mind of man throughout history, but there's only one true God, and He's the Lord of all creation. How would it change us if we saw God for who He truly is? And what would it mean to live fully by faith, trusting Him enough to yield our own will to His?

James 2:19 tells us that even the demons know there's one true God! Yet we often avoid talking about the very real spiritual battles that take place on a daily basis. We're continually at war against the devil and his attacks, but God's given us the power of His Spirit and the weapon of His Word to equip us to fight back.

Do you remember playing "Follow The Leader" when you were a kid? Every person is both a follower of those ahead of them, and a leader to those behind them. That's the meaning of discipleship! Discipleship happens when we follow the leadership of godly role models, while at the same time demonstrating to others what it looks like to follow Christ. And when you lead someone in such a way that it equips them to lead others in turn, you're building a legacy that will outlive and outlast you long after your time on earth is done.

Here's a question: if you were to die today, would you be missed? We get one shot in this earthly life to live it in a way that honors and glorifies God. The Bible instructs us to walk in step with the Holy Spirit, and by doing so, our lives will bear the fruit of the Spirit -- fruit that makes us the kind of people who'll be missed when we're gone.

There's an old English proverb that says, "Free cheese is always available in mousetraps." Temptation is everywhere, including in the Bible. Samson's a classic example! He made mistake after mistake and suffered major consequences for his sin -- but God still used Samson's flaw-filled life for His glory. Scripture tells us to flee from temptation, but in those moments when we falter and we experience the consequences of our actions, let's remember that God gives us not only the strength, but also the grace to seek forgiveness, pick up where we left off, and continue doing His work for His glory!

If you're familiar with the biblical story of Ruth and Boaz's relationship, you know that the way God orchestrated their coming together is a testament to His sovereignty in all situations. But their obedience to Him also ended up fulfilling prophecy later on down the line. What's the moral of their story? The decisions we make from day to day can have a huge impact on the way God wants to use us to further His Kingdom.

We don't think twice about regularly washing our bodies or washing our clothes. So why do we neglect to wash ourselves spiritually? Our sin dirties us in the same way as we get physically dirty. Through Christ's blood, we're washed as white as snow, but it's by cleansing ourselves regularly through God's Word that we're able to remain clean.
