We are smack-bang in the middle of the summer break, so it must have been a short show this week, right? Nope. I'm blaming the very fact that we had no race for letting us get so wildly off track. We made it to the beautiful rolling countryside of Austria. Rosberg took the victory and while Austria isn't his home country, Germany is really just Austria with a hipster neck beard. After revisiting this setting from yesteryear Rod looks to other former kings of the calendar in another instalment of the SuperQuiz, we talk racing (a bit) and let the conversation stray away from Formula 1 (a lot) as well as making a plan on the fly for our possible Formula E coverage. Canada eh? Just kidding, we were ecstatic that Daniel Ricciardo took his maiden race victory in Montreal this weekend. It might not sound like it because we were pretty zapped, but I can assure you our hearts were lifted. You can tell from the response of the crowd that it was a popular victory, even the old grinch Vettel was full of praise for smiley Dan so we felt really lucky to have witnessed it. Being able to share the experience with the fans on our first ever live stream was a big bonus (I think we'll do it again, we'll work out something around the ads, sorry again folks!). I can't see how Perez did anything wrong. We have no qualms about calling this race one of the very best ever. That's our excuse for rambling on for so long about it. This is probably as good a place as any to explain what happened at the end of the recording this week. Rod and Zach were recording in different locations and let's just say the building that Zach was in had to be closed down and he was asked to leave by security.
