 SovereignBTC #6 - The Future of Bitcoin | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:24:45

Subscribe to the Let’s Talk Bitcoin! Network Feed for free to automatically download new episodes of your favorite shows on the LTB Network SovereignBTC Episode 6 Shownotes: The Future of Bitcoin Thanks for listening to SovereignBTC, your guide to the practical side of everyday Bitcoin use. This weeks program was mostly recorded at the First Annual Texas Bitcoin Conference which took place this week in Austin, TX. The theme for this weeks episode is the future of Bitcoin. At the conference I was exposed to some really exciting new ideas that I really took to heart. I knew the blockchain had uses outside of just being a public ledger for the medium of exchange known as bitcoin. In episode 3 of SovereignBTC, the Many Uses of Bitcoin, we talked about just a few of the innovative means of utilizing the blockchain such as smart contracts and stock exchanges. At the Texas Bitcoin Conference Hackathon, I was blown away by not only the ideas present, but the number of people actually bringing these ideas to fruition. From decentralized transportation networks to peer to peer file storage, in this episode of SovereignBTC, we take an indepth look at the 2014 Texas Bitcoin Conference Hackathon. This episode also includes a conversation with Charlie Lee, founder and creator of Litecoin, the Bitcoin tip of the week, an interview with David Johnston of BitAngels and Mastercoin on Bitcoin 2.0, a chat with Vitalik Buterin on Ethereum, and a closing interview with two of the main organizers of the conference, Paul Snow and Steven Wilkinson of the Texas Bitcoin Conference. We finish the program with an inspirational and compelling speech from none other than Andrea Antonopolous himself on the Future of Bitcoin, and what it truly means to have a sovereign currency. You’re not gonna want to miss this inside look at one of the hottest Bitcoin conferences to date. It is only the beginning of the bitcoin revolution, glad you are coming along for the ride! Hold on tight, this is gonna get crazy! Website: sovereignbtc.com Facebook: facebook.com/sovereignbtc Twitter: twitter.com/sovbtc Remember, Live free and prosper!
