This week's School of Hot Rod Radio is a performance one-two punch. Auctioned off at the show is the "Amphibicar" -- which is one that was meant to be driven on the streets or on the water. Dennis and Trip talk about how cars are meant to be driven and not sit and look pretty.
Anthony Vestal joins the show to talk about the upcoming Dollar General 4 Wide. Dennis and Anthony have a discussion about building a 6 wide or larger track if they ever had the money or just later down the road. Also, Anthony gives his take on pro stock motorcycles for the year.

"You often hear a Shelby before you even see it." To kick off this hour of School of Hot Rod Radio, host Dennis Pittsenbarger has John Luft of Shelby American on the line. John talks about the new Shelby Focus and why they brought the car back.
The Shelby GTS is designed to resemble the GT500. Guest John Luft from Shelby American tells a quick story about how a couple appreciated the cost of the Shelby GTS. Why? Because owning a Shelby was on their bucket list and they were able to make that happen because of the GTS.
"Are you telling me this car is street legal?" John Luft of Shelby American is on the line talking about the 2013 Shelby GT500 Super Snake and explains why it’s an impressive car.
Do you know what a Concours is? Many people of a younger generation aren’t familiar with the term. Host Dennis Pittsenbarger brings on Mark Buehle, the Dana Point Concours d’Elegance Chairman, to talk about the changes they’ve made to the event and what it takes to put it together. Additionally, Mark talks about the charities that the Dana Point Concours d’Elegance is involved in.
Mary Jean Wesche tells a story about an April Fool’s Day joke that backfired....in a good way! As an editor for the Mustang Times, Mary wrote an editorial stating that she was going to build a ‘67 Mustang and everyone should send her a piece. She decided to stick with her word and build the car so the proceeds can support the fight against cancer.
After both of her daughters were diagnosed with cancer, Mary Jean Wesche is raising funds for the American Cancer Society through her Mystical Build of the 1967 Fastback Mustang. Mary tells us how you can be entered to win the Mustang and why it’s so important to her.
