Summary: Jochen (Joe) Krebs speaks with industry experts and local practitioners who present at the Agile NYC user group, the largest and most active user group in the tri-state area about all things agile. Our monthly user group meetings as well as the annual 1-day Agile Day conference highlights a variety of agile topics and formats, for example presentations, open space conference, lightning talks, pecha kucha, panels and keynotes. This podcast serves as platform to connect our attendees as well as others interested but too far away to visit us in person.

Jordan will present in the self-organize track of the Agile Day'12 in New York City. The title of his talk is Manufacturing Motiviation on Marathons, which focuses on motivating agile teams working on long-term projects together. He focuses on distributed vs. co-located teams as well the agile ceremonies of agile process to help motivate teams. Jordan's passion for agile processes does not stop at the work-level. He also investigates if agile principles can be applied to raise children.

Peter will speak about "Large Backlogs and Small Teams" and the challenges a team faces when backlogs grow too big. Peter shares practices how to resolve this issues, for example through work in progress limits and story maps. Peter is home to software engineering as well as management topics. He delivers roughly 100 talks every year about technical as well as agile processes and we are excited having him in the "advance" track of the Agile Day'12 in New York City.

Jochen (Joe) Krebs speaks with the Oxygen Media Team during a reunion with Gerry Laybourne, Oksana Udovitska, Wendy Matthews, Lee Bankewitz, Robert Zurer, Bob Calvano, Ilio Krumins-Beens, Luke Melia and Ken Judy. The Oxygen team was a unique agile team in the NYC metro area, driving not only a successful project, but also created a highly valuable product and company. When Oxygen media was sold to NBC in 2007, the team members departed from Oxygen and influenced numerous other projects in the New York try-state area. Gerry, who founded Oxygen together with Oprah Winfrey, speaks also about her vision at that time and the values of agile processes from an executive perspective.
