Dr. Janine Bullard, MD, Assistant Professor, Division of Neonatology at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center in Baltimore, will present case scenarios which will address: key aspects of planning a simulation scnearion for practicing healthcare professionals, describing the features fo tream debriefing and feedback after simulation performances; and discuss some of the learning models used in simuation-based medical education.

Dr. Richard Whitley, Distinguished Professor, Loeb Eminent Scholar Chair in Pediatrics, Professor of Pediatrics, Microbiology, Medicine and Neurosurgery at UAB will present patient case scenarios which will help the listener to define the differential diagnosis, intiate and interpret the diagnosis, as well as evaluate the CMV diagnosis.

Natalie Napolitano, Pediatric Clincial Manager for Respiratory care Services at Inova fairfax Hospital for Children will present patient case sceanarios which: describe the different theories about early CPAP and surfactant use in preterm infants, identify infants who may not benefit fromthe INSURE method of CPAP and surfactant use, and determine potential risk facotrs to identify infant who are more likely to fail NCPAP and require intubation.

Dr. Philip Gordon, Chair of Neonatology and Assistant Chair of Pediatrics at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, will present patient cases which: define the clinical attributes of necrotizing enterocolitis, discuss p-RBC transfusions represent a greater risk factor in preterm infants than in term infants, and explain the advantages of a reductionist approach versus an inclusionist approach

Drs.Takemoto and Strouse from the Pediatric Hematology department of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine discuss the treatment options for thrombosis in neonates. They will also descrine the challenges to establishing appropriate guidelines for anticoagulation treatment in neonates
