The Willie Lawson Show

Any talk of the repeal of the ACA needs to stop as it is not going to happen and will only result in a battle Republicans can't win.  Obama will not be impeached for the same reason. It is a battle that Republicans lose by not being able to take the White House in 2016. Do not be fooled that is the main goal of Republicans.  The only way the ACA gets repealed or curtailed will by by the pen of a Republican president.  I will sk you today of a senario in which President Obama signs a bill to repeal the ACA. 

Three unrelated topics but three things that have me thinking this morning.  Enjoy the ride as we swing from thing to thing!

Mr. President, you asked Black people to have your back in 2013.  Now it it is 2 years later, do you have our back.  We are still dealing and reeling with double digit unemployment.  Ony 4 of 10 of our sons are graduating from high school.  Pain, agony and frustration is the trinity that most people in the urban community are most familar with.  Well Mr. President do you have our back?  Or have you decided to go "light"?  Are you courting a new girl?  Did you forget the girl that put you back together when you were down?  Stood by you in the tough times?  Are you leaving her in place of the new exciting girl from down south?  Mr. President, granting amnesty to illegal immigrants is a move that show you do not have our back in the urban community.  It proves that your focus is elsewhere. And yes, this is a battle for your attention.

No, the Republican wave of wins this month will not equate to the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. Too many conservatives realy have it it the mix about timing.  There is no way in the world that spending the next two years fighting about the ACA is a smart move. There is zero chance the president will sign a law that repeals the ACA. The republicans still do not have a signifcant majority to over-ride a veto. So.. what are you all talking about!?!

Today I ask the question will the Florida Republican leadership abandon Black Republicans in 2014.  The novelty of being a Black Republican has worn off.  So, will Lenny Curry and local Republicans decide to throw the nonesese of color-blind and help Black and other monority Republicans get elected in monority districts?  

Let's talk about The possibility of college athletes being ble to form a union. This is in my opinion the begining of the end of college athletics as we know it. The unions are trying to infect young people.  Unions want to be sen as the hero in every situation and at every level. 

Well, I'm back.. A lot has happemed since the start of the year and there is much to accomplish this year!  Lets talk about Jooly beinting Sink here in Florida. Is this a harbinger for Democrats in 2014 ?
