This is the live audio broadcast from our weekly Write Time show. We've been feeling nostalgic with the recent moving of our business, so we opened up a lot to our personal and professional beginnings and growths that we've had over the last few years.
It's important to clean out the newly redone Noodler's Flex Pens (as of October 2011) because of machining oils on the feed. It's easy to do...
It's been two years since we started carrying fountain pen stuff, and we've moved our business from our dining room to our guest bedroom to half our garage to the whole garage....now off-site in a commercial space. Having an empty garage and a house that's now just a 'normal' house, I'm reflecting on the last two years of Goulet Pens and all that's happened in this small (now empty) space.
In this Write Time broadcast we talk about the Noodler's Flex Pen release lovingly referred to as 'Flexpocalypse', moving our shop and adjusting to our new space, and expected dates for lots of new stuff coming in.
It's been 4 months since the last Noodler's Flex Pen release, which we've dubbed 'Flexpocalypse'. This time there are more total pens and colors available than ever before! We show you what the colors are and how we will handle the release at the Goulet Pen Company.
Nathan Tardif of Noodler's Ink was nice enough to give us some of his precious time to clarify some of the Noodler's ink properties. We spent a good hour and forty minutes answering all kinds of questions on inks, flex pens, and future prototypes of Noodler's pens.
This is a 1.5 hour audio recording of our live weekly broadcast, Write Time. Topics for this week include the Sheaffer VFM, Pilot Preras, TWSBI ROC-100, and our motivation for moving our business out of our house and into a commercial space.
Noodler's has outdone themselves this time, creating one of the most unique pens around today. The flex nib pen has been the hottest thing in the fountain pen world in the last year, and this Ahab pen raises the bar.
The five newest Diamine colors are in! I must say, I'm pretty impressed. Diamine has a slew of older colors that frankly just don't crank my tractor, but these new ones all seem to be headed in the right direction. I've been impressed with Diamine's latest additions to their ink line like Syrah, Red Dragon, and Oxblood, and these new inks continue that darker, more saturated ink trend.
Diamine has come out with the first 5 of 20 new ink colors to be released: Denim, Eclipse, Macassar, Meadow, and Wild Strawberry. I'll compare them all here.
This is the first official audio Podcast of Write Time! This is our weekly live broadcast that we do (with a live chatroom) to discuss all things fountain pen. This week, we talked about Lamy Ruby Al-Stars, Purple Edison Nouveau Premieres, and Noodler's Ahab pens.
It's been over a year since I first started talking about my desire to make my videos into podcasts, and it's taken me this long to do it! Now you can see all of my Ink Nouveau videos on YouTube as well as download them through iTunes.
The results are in after the close of the poll for the selection of the 4th color of the Edison Nouveau Premiere! We thought the results were interesting so we wanted to share.
In collaboration with Brian Gray of Edison Pens, we're expanding a 4th color of the Edison Nouveau Premiere pen! We know we want a purple one, but we can't decide between these four resins. We're going to let you help us decide before 9/15/11 on Ink Nouveau.
I modified a Platinum converter to match the rhodium trim on a Platinum 3776 Motosu fountain pen! It's not hard to do.
