 Sun of a Podcast #35 Man Down | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:09:12

Steven's got his priorities right and is spending some quality time with his woman, so Martin and Kyle take the reigns for Episode 35. Schools might be coming to the end of the semester but that doesn't mean we have more free time to play videos games, quite the opposite in fact. Next week is looking rather tasty with Kid Icarus and Ninja Gaiden 3 on the menu, but will we bite? Check out Episode 35 to find out.

 Sun of a Podcast #32 Vita | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 03:41:44

Yes, we're back! Again! It took a several weeks for Steve to snap Martin and Mehdi out of their catatonic stupor after they livestreamed the Vita on launch day on December 17th for 17 hours! The show must go on. Red Sun Gamer is back! So, sick of hearing other gaming podcasts spewing disinformation about Vita from their yuck mouths? Then you've come to the right place. First join us for our 2 hours discussion based on first hand experiences with the Vita. Then we have 30 minutes on Ni no Kuni (revived with smelling salts from a podcast that never saw the day of light) and 30 minutes of stuff that nobody remembers cause it was close to 3a.m. when we finished. Enjoy!

 Sun of a Podcast #31 Super Mario 3D Land | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 01:52:56

Babies, moving, no internet and a broken foot is to blame for our latest hiatus. Join Martin, Steve and our new podcasting member Medhi as we talk about Mario's latest adventure on the 3DS, Steve's secret love for maid cafes, and Medhi explains why Kojima trolled us all.

 Sun of a Podcast #30 TGS 2011 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:24:38

It has been one year since our last podcast....about TGS! That means we are almost right on time! In episode 30, we are joined by two special guests, our good friends Mehdi_eff and zippypatrick who also attended this year's TGS. No freight-train length discussions here about the 3DS versus Vita, just a straight up 'round Skype' stream of consciousness talk about the games that made a lasting impression on us.

 Sun of a Podcast #29 In a Spin | File Type: audio/x-m4a | Duration: 01:37:26

It's a bird, it's a plane... no it's another Red Sun Gamer podcast, back from yet another hiatus! Life somehow got in the way with new jobs, moving, illness and a baby. We start off this podcast with a round of applause for Steve on becoming an official video games translator! Martin had a camera up his nose and down in his stomach, fun times! Martin also received an early gift from his wife - a baby boy, 10 days early! Martin also does his best impression of Jack Bauer - check out the YouTube video. We talk about the following games: Rhythm Heaven, Groove Coaster, Toriko, Basara, Xevious, Donkey Kong and StarFox 3D. For Zasshi Time we head into Famitsu 360 for run down on Rise of Nightmares Kinect control scheme. TGS is around the corner so we're asking "What do you wanna see and hear about?". Let us know! This podcast is enhanced so you should see all the sections of the podcast plus pictures and links to videos.

Sun of a Podcast #28 Bleach, CoE, SotD | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:40:23

Finally able to take a hiatus from our podcast hiatus (translation: hectic video production schedule), Steve and Martin are extremely happy to deliver you Sun of a Podcast Episode 28. In our show, we adroitly avoid belaboring you with belated impressions of E3 and instead zero in on the parade of games we have been wading through: Bio Hazard The Revelations (3DS), Zelda Ocarina of Time (3DS), Yakuza 5 Of the End (PS3), Shadows of the Damned (PS3/Xbox360), Mizuguchi's Child of Eden (Xbox360), and Bleach: Soul Ignition (Soul Resurreccion) (PS3). In Zasshi Time, Steve slashes us through Ninja Gaiden 3's blade bone-severing concept, Itagaki's recent Devil's Third progress update, and his promise not to let fans down at the upcoming TGS. Follow us into the wee hours of the night (again!) where we conclude the show with an extended talk about the temporary 3DS sales spike due to the release of Zelda.

 Sun of a Podcast #27 Pandora’s Tower | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:35:18

Was it pure happenstance that we decided to play horror survival games, Ikenie no Yoru (Night of the Sacrifice) on Friday the 13th, and Corpse Party on the Eve of Rapture, or was it a dim foreshadowing of our sinister fate? Fortunately, there was no Second Coming of a hockey mask-wearing Jason. We are alive and well, so much that we have another 2-hour plus podcast just for you! After our playthrough discussion of Night of the Sacrifice and our failed attempt to play through Corpse Party, we share with you the joys of procuring flesh from fresh beastly cadavers to feed a cursed maiden in Pandora's Tower, and the very brief joys of being a toilet-swiveling submarine commander in Steel Diver. Afterwards, we try to figure out why Microsoft seems so intent on scuttling any hopes of Kinect success in Japan. Then, we finish up with recent sales figures, talk of PSP remastering and NGP name branding (VITA). Enjoy!

 Sun of a Podcast #26 El Shaddai | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 03:16:26

What happens when Martin and Steve chew the fat about their separate playthroughs of El Shaddai? They blabber about Nephilim blubber n' stuff for a nigh an hour! 4 gaming thumbs up! Afterwards, we make quick work through our midway play reports of Layton(3DS), Jubeat (iPad), Gachitora (PSP). For Famistu Zasshi Time, Steve's painstakingly sifted through the 17 page blowout on Nagoshi's Sci-Fi Dramatic 3rd Person Shooter Binary Domain. Elsewhere in the Famitsu news we cover info on Zelda 3DS, the Tohoku Earthquakes effect on the Japanese gaming industry, ECO TGS and refreshingly low cross-review scores

 Sun of a Podcast #24 Delays | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 02:08:57

During a week of video game delays and potential nuclear melt downs Martin and Steven tell stories of family and friends directly involved in the earthquake which hit Japan on March 11th. We actually got a little bit of gaming in with games such as Defiant, Layton 3DS and Zettai Zetsumei 3 on the PSP. Sensei Steven takes us into class with an extended Lingo lab then we cover the Irem announcement of Zettai Zetsumei 4 being canned, which brings around a nice conversation of delays delays delays. Then we head-on over to Zasshi Time for some Dead or Alive and Gundam cross review talk, with a sprinkle of Famitsu's 3DS tips. Just before we wrap up the show Steven gets his man-crush on with Hino-San from Level5. We wrap up the show with the sounds of Super Mario Brothers being played live from Nintendo world in January 2011.

Sun of a Podcast #23 Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Nuclear Meltdowns & Video Games | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:21:29

Especially to those living overseas, consider this very unusual podcast our clumsy way of letting you know that we (Steve and Martin) are very much alive and well in the wake of the Tohoku Pacific Offshore Earthquake, and the subsequent tsunamis that hit Northeastern Japan on March 11th. Maybe unfortunately for you, in this podcast our minds and hearts weigh heavier on these recent events than the Japanese games we love so dearly. So without further ado, welcome to our first near zero-prep podcast! First, a retelling of our first-hand experiences in Nagoya as the earthquake unfolded some 400 miles away. Then, we revive Lingo Lab with some serious smelling salts! Thereafter, we recap our lasting impressions on our recent Thursday streaming of the Mortal Kombat demo for the PS3. Yes, a you-geemu (western game) yo we know! Next, we take very shallow dip in Famitsu's latest info on Steel Diver to prime you for our next live-streaming of the full game on March 17th, 7:00p.m. The time stamps remind me that we also quibble about Of the End, Child of Eden control scheme improvements, the delayed Disaster Report 4 (that got canned after our recording) and the new Yakuza Twitter App.
