On this episode of Athlete Profile, Sara Gross talks to Rio-bound Canadian triathlete Amelie Kretz.  Amelie was a bronze medalist at the International Triathlon Union U23 World Championship in 2013 and that same year that she won the World Cup event in Edmonton Canada. She was named elite U23 athlete of the year by Triathlon Canada in 2013 and 2014. Her second career World Cup podium came in 2015 in Mooloolaba, and she posted her first top-10 finish at the World Triathlon Series in London in 2012. Germany's rising star of eventing Julia Krajewski has just been named as a reserve for the Rio Olympics in a year which is already the highlight of her career. Riding Samourai du Thot, the 27 year old rider who is based in Warendorf, the home of the German Federation's training center, made a big impression by finishing third at the recent Luhmuhlen CCI4* event in Germany. British eventer Lissa Green has bounced back from an horrific rotational fall in 2014 to build a strong team of horses and find herself aiming for her first four star later this year. Her perseverance and cheerful disposition are in her genes, after all her mother is the legendary five-time Badminton winner Lucinda Green MBE. Lissa has inherited the classical riding style that was her mother's hallmark and with it the talent and determination to make it to the top of the sport. A graduate of Bristol University with a BA in Criminology she admits to watching a lot of CSI, and being a big fan of her brother Freddie who is the drummer in the rock band The Dirty Youth.
