Since 2009, there has been a 19 percent drop in new HIV infections around the world. This is good news for many, including faithful married women who now are the most likely persons to contract the virus. Yet this good news is endangered as world governments cut back on funding to combat AIDS. More than ever, now is a time that Christians are called to take their place and take action to end AIDS. Dr. Johnson is director of the International Center for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and distinguished research professor at Alliant University in San Diego, Calif., as well as professor of clinical psychology at the University of Ottawa, Canada.   She has received numerous honors for her work, including the Outstanding Contribution to the Field of Couple and Family Therapy Award from the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and the Research in Family Therapy Award from the American Family Therapy Academy. She is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association.
