The truth of who God is comforts us in 2 ways: God is Faithful to His Promises (v.1-4) God is Righteous in All His Ways (v.5-8)

Because Jesus came to save sinners... 1) He called sinners to follow Him (even notorious, really bad ones) 2) He showed compassion to sinners
