Today we talk about how social networks are NOT evil. They are as useful as you want them to be. We discuss what you should and should not be posting. This stems from most people saying, social networks are bad, when really, oversharing is the culprit. Show Notes: Malwarebytes Combofix Ninite
We were going to talk about serial, but no one listens to it. I know we probably should, but we decided talking about Sony was probably better. Since we know nothing about it, we spent thirty minutes speculating.

We start off with more of the Sony hack...Turns out as of Wednesday, we know not much more. We shift gears to a feature both LastPass and Dashlane released simultaneously. The ability to auto change passwords.
We came across three interesting news articles in the past week, two of them are philosophical problems regarding security. First we talk about the the life of passwords as found in the NYTimes. How do you decrypt when you need to after the 9/11 attacks. Second we talk about the hack on Sony, and what we know. Finally, we have a debate of sorts of whose fault it is when IT knows it all, and the average user does not. We talk about two topics today. The first (most boring) is the G+ fight between Chris Messina and Mike Elgan about G+. Turns out, nobody cares. G+ is great, but no one will use it (except Chaim). Then we talk about the implication of removing the captcha and having some sort of internal test that Google has. Show Notes: Mike Elgan - G+ - https://plus.google.com/+MikeElgan/posts/cHdHJy8nKJS Chris Messina - Medium - https://medium.com/@chrismessina/thoughts-on-google-8883844a9ca4 Google reCaptcha - 2- http://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/index.html

While the title is misleading, it isn't all that incorrect. First we tackle follow up on LastPass. We then talk about a coalition to SSL all the websites. We finish talking about how WhatsApp, a Facebook company, just went all encryption crazy.
We are joined by @mantic59 from his Sharpologist blog to talk shaving. We've all seen (and heard) the ads for different shaving products, but why not go double edge? Never heard of double edge? Learn what the hype is, and why you may want to try shaving differently. The EFF recently published a list of the security of all instant messengers they can find. We decided to talk about them. https://www.eff.org/secure-messaging-scorecard
On this episode we were going to talk about net neutrality, but we decided to talk about Amazon's echo.

Nothing special here this week. We are already late publishing this, and for what reason? Well there was nothing to talk about. On Friday night, Yahoo used the words "Cyber Missiles," and Tom and I just laughed out loud. Once again the news uses FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt) to control our emotions. While they were serious, all we could do is make fun of them.
With all the little stories going on, we decided to go through them quickly. Naturally analysis was also quick. We talk about Fitbit and Google Fit, Apple Pay, Google Wallet, and CurrentC. We finish off with the Amazon fire stick
We were told to not talk about it, so naturally we did. We tried our best to find both sides, but we couldn’t. We did everything wrong.
