This month's Reel Talk with Film DC spotlights producer/directors Tessa Moran & Ben Crosbie (MPTD's June 2012 Filmmaker of the Month). The husband and wife filmmaking team discuss a range of topics including the upcoming television broadcast premiere of their new documentary "Fate of a Salesman."

This month's Reel Talk with Film DC features Emmy-award winning producer Richard Heus from NBC's new pilot "Blacklist", which filmed in DC this week. The pilot revolves around "Red" (James Spader, The Practice/Lincoln), the world's most-wanted criminal who mysteriously turns himself in and offers to give up everyone he has ever worked with. His only condition is he will only work with a newly minted FBI agent Liz Keen (Blue Bloods' Megan Boone) with whom he seemingly has no connection. Heus is also the producer behind such hits as Showtime's "The Big C", ABC's "Ugly Betty", and the new FX series "The Americans."
MPTD sits down with popular DC-based web series creators and Filmmakers of the Month Anthony Anderson and Otessa Ghadar to discuss what goes into creating a web series and why everyone is so hooked on their shows. Anthony Anderson's "Anacostia: The Web Series" is heading into its 4th season and Otessa Ghadar's "Orange Juice in Bishop's Garden" is in the middle of its 6th season. Both shows are appreciated not just locally but nationally and internationally as well.
This month's Reel Talk with Film DC features Chan Claggett, local location manager. A more than 20 year veteran in the film and television industry, Chan has worked on a number of high profile commercial, television and feature film productions shot here in the District ranging from a recent Adidas commercial featuring RG3 to MSNBC promos directed by Spike Lee.
Basheerah Abdusshahid, intern with the DC Office of Motion Picture and Television Development, sits down with Carol Flaisher, local location manager and owner of Flaisher Films. Known as a veteran amongst the local film community, she has worked on such big film and television projects as Salt, State of Play, National Treasure and The Amazing Race.
Leslie Green of the DC Film Office interviews Jon Gann, executive director of the DC Film Alliance and DC Shorts and Amy Saidman, artistic executive director of Speakeasy DC. They discuss a new partnership between the DC Film Office, DC Shorts and Speakeasy DC for a new film competition called Speakeasy Shorts that will debut on November 9.

Over the past 25 years, Pridemore has served as location manager for the District on such blockbuster hits as Forrest Gump, Independence Day, Wedding Crashers and Minority Report.
