 TGR 01.05.16. 2016 Presidential Politics and UFOs | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:50:25

This week on The Gralien Report, as we look ahead at an all new year, Micah begins by discussing what he was reading over the holidays, and why one man on the other side of the United States doesn’t think Micah’s hometown of Asheville, North Carolina, actually doesn’t exist. Are the Graliens part of a broad-reaching conspiracy to conceal the truth about the mountain town’s role in a broad reaching deception, and what does this have to do with an earlier online conspiracy about a similar German town-of-nonexistence? Finally, in an odd twist, we’ll learn how yet another “non-place” and its relation to a pre-Internet Alternative Reality Game led Micah to think he was once the target of a strange high-IQ society, as a strange story from the early days of The Gralien Report comes full-circle. Then getting to news, we’ll take time to examine Hillary Clinton’s latest stated interest in “getting to the bottom” of UFOs, and what kinds of implications this might have for the 2016 election. After all, Clinton has said her administration, if elected, would seek greater transparency with the UFO subject (at the urging of her campaign head John Podesta)… but how could presidential politics in relation to the UFO question help shape the 2016 election? Shifting from presidential politics to the subject of future technology, we look at a recent list of possible 2016 scientific discoveries… one of which we were very surprised to see included, although it’s a subject we’ve addressed recently on the program (here’s a hint: it involves drones). And finally, in an unsettling turn of events that occurred in conjunction with the New Year, the death of Linux icon and Debian founder Ian Murdock has captured our attention… and the reason involves certain conspiratorial undertones.  TGR 12.28.15. The Gralien Report 2015 Year in Review | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:41:18

This week on The Gralien Report Podcast, as we begin our final show of 2015, news from around the world that we feature this week includes studies of nature’s many-armed mysteries… namely the hydra, which according to one study, may indeed be immortal. We also examine the most recent footage (and by far the best to-date) of a giant squid off the coast of Japan. But could the greatest mystery relating to the giant squid actually have to do with its size, and whether the “giant” is really as large as scientists once believed? Turning our attention to other matters, a group of Harvard Researchers believe they have an idea about how to better manage and record statistics about deaths involving police shootings… and it may be one of the most unique proposals we’ve come across on the subject. Then looking back over the big stories of 2015, this year has been a huge year for new discoveries about ancient humans, as well as the structures they built, and the lives they led. Discoveries from the last twelve months ranged from new knowledge about England’s most enigmatic megalithic site Stonehenge, to possible discovery of new branches of the ancient human family. Finally, rounding out or review of 2015, we examine an enigmatic stone in Canada known as the Peterborough Stone, and theories about who its ancient creators may have been. Micah also notes the stone’s similarities to the megalithic stone known as Judaculla Rock, which has long been held in similar regard for the questions about its age and origins. The markings on each stone are indeed similar, but is there any more to it than this? Join us and become a member of Gralien X for more great podcasts and bonus monthly specials.  TGR 12.21.15. Winter Solstice and The Men in Black | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:46:00

This week on The Gralien Report, we celebrate the arrival of the Winter Solstice as we examine the significance this annual date held for people in the ancient world, as well as those who recognize it today. We also discuss new science that explores the science of auroras, and what use the results of new studies may have in warding off future disasters. On the subject of disasters, a recent incident in Las Vegas has us examining what leads one to identify as being a “terrorist”, and what causes may lead to one becoming involved in terror acts. While the Las Vegas incident that led to vehicular injury–and at least one death–is not believed to have been an act of “terrorism” by the FBI’s definition, the actual psychology underlying the terrorist mindset is integral to the understanding of what leads to such tragedies, and the intention behind them. Then shifting gears to the world of espionage and the unexplained, in hour two author Nick Redfern joins us to discuss the enduring mystery of the Men in Black. We begin with a look back at some of the more significant developments in the study of unidentified flying objects that took place in 2015, before shifting gears to discussion of the alleged Roswell UFO incident, and how the early years of the study of UFOs would influence the ongoing mythology surrounding alleged Men in Black encounters. Nick discusses the archetypal elements associated with the subject, as well as the possible real instances where representatives of various agencies may have utilized the MIB motif in hopes of playing off of the general paranoia and folklore associated with the UFO subject. Nick’s latest book on the subject, Men in Black: Personal Stories and Eerie Adventures, is available for purchase here.  TGR 12.15.15. The Moon Landing & “M” Shaped Caves | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:39:15

This week on The Gralien Report, we have news that veteran late-night broadcaster Art Bell has hung up his microphone (again), and this time for good. We go into the reasons for this, before shifting our attention to Elon Musk’s latest efforts to save humanity from evil artificial intelligence. Then, has a filmmaker released conclusive proof that the Apollo moon landing was faked by filmmaker Stanley Kubrick? Hardly… not only did the moon landing occur, the videos touted by some as proof that they were faked by the late Eyes Wide Shut director clearly give away the gag. We’ll go over how this hoax managed to garner so much attention, and why the moon landing hoax theory remains so popular today among conspiracy theorists. Then in hour two, we examine a famous early-twentieth century incident that led to the disappearance of three men under unusual circumstances. Known as the Flannan Isles disappearance, it remains one of the most unusual cases of strange disappearances ever recorded. Then, turning our attention to the disappearance of Kenny Veach, we tell the tale of an experienced hiker who went missing in the Sheep Mountains near Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada in late 2014. The circumstances he described in the last video he uploaded to his YouTube channel tell of Veach’s fascination, and ongoing search, for a strange “M-shaped cave” which had frightened him upon his first discovery, and may have even spurred an obsession that led to his end. Finally, why are businessmen (and political dissidents) going missing in China? Sadly, with the political climate in the East, it takes little imagination to guess why… Want More From The Gralien Report? Follow The Gralien Report on Twitter, and Like Us on Facebook.  TGR 12.08.15. Mystery People and Myths of Cannibalism | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:43:14

This week on The Gralien Report Podcast, as we recognize the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attacks that brought the U.S. into World War II, we also examine a number of mysteries associated with the waters of the Pacific. Similar to a recent earlier episode and its discussion of cannibalism at sea, we observe modern myths of “ghost ships” that compare strangely to recent developments off the coast of Japan, which involve the “skeletonized” crews found aboard derelict vessels featuring strange messages. In addition to this, we also cover stories from our listeners that range from Cold War era conspiracies and personal experiences, to strange myths and legends, and the idea of “consensus opinion” and how skepticism can help us to whittle back the mere possibilities that some mysterious phenomena may afford us, and reveal any underlying potentials worthy of future study. Then in the second hour, we begin with an examination of mysterious groups of people that have existed throughout history, including the historically enigmatic “Sea Peoples” which contributed to the demise and setback of many civilizations during the Bronze Age Collapse. We also examine the curious origins of the Melungeons of Eastern Tennessee and Kentucky, myths about whom may involve the arrival of Ottoman Turks in the Americas, and whose settlement preceded the English, Irish, and Scottish entry into the Appalachian Mountains. And speaking of the Scottish, the focus of our discussion carries us to a curious legend in Scotland of a man whose family had allegedly terrorized the region near Bennane Head for decades. Is the story a true historical account, or had these myths of cannibalism been inspired by an earlier legend?  TGR 11.30.15. Could Drones Solve a Texas Mystery? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:39:58

This week on The Gralien Report Podcast, what was Jacques Vallee discussing recently during a public Reddit “Ask Me Anything”, and how does it reflect on modern UFO research? Then it’s off to China, where a new – and very massive – telescope is being built which some think will be a game changer in the search for extraterrestrial life. Also, members of the Catholic Church in Utah are discussing an unusual phenomenon that recently occurred, which some are calling a miracle. Or, could it be a matter of chemistry instead? Then in hour two, we are told an unusual story about something that happened on a west Texas oil field, which has left many scratching their heads. Gary Holloway, a licensed pilot of drones who supplies HD aerial footage of his flights to major television networks and documentary filmmakers, offers commentary on the incident, as well as his own perspectives of how technologies like civilian drones and high-definition footage will change the the way we study mysterious phenomena in the coming years. To watch the video of the incident Gary Holloway discusses with us on the show this week, along with high-definition footage made with Gary’s drones during his investigation, visit his YouTube channel for AirCam LLC by clicking here.  TGR 11.23.15. Strange Seafaring and Maritime Mysteries | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:47:54

This week on The Gralien Report, we discuss U.S. President Barack Obama, who has, during his presidency, said more about the subject of UFOs than any other commander in chief. During his recent interview with GQ, here’s what he told HBO’s Bill Simmons he found his briefings on subjects like UFOs, “a little disappointing,” noting that, “People always ask me about Roswell and the aliens and UFOs, and it turns out the stuff going on that’s top secret isn’t nearly as exciting as you expect. In this day and age, it’s not as top secret as you’d think.” Perhaps more interesting than this statement is the fact that, in response to a question about the JFK assassination, Mr. Obama actually chose to mention Roswell and UFOs. By virtue of calling it “disappointing”, one might even guess that he’d had something of a passing interest in the subject. Then in the show’s second hour, Micah recounts unusual experiences he had during a recent visit to one of the oldest cities in America: Charleston, South Carolina. Exploring the literary ties to the city’s past, we uncover information — and inspiration — behind icons like H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe, who both visited the town. Finally, as our discussions of the seaport town set said and move adrift, we examine some of Poe’s alleged “predictions” about a maritime disaster, as well as that most famous of seafaring tragedies: the sinking of the Titanic. How much truth could there be to the alternative theories suggested about the ship’s sinking, and what was the ultimate fate of the ship’s captain? Finally, had there been a famous investigative journalist that “predicted” the tragedy, and his own death as a result of it? We examine all this, and more, on this week’s Gralien Report Podcast.

TGR 11.16.15. Is There a ‘War’ Against Consciousness? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:51:29

This week on The Gralien Report, we kick things off with a bit of somber reflection regarding the Friday the 13th terrorist attacks in Paris (for more on this, please check out our special edition of Middle Theory this week, which addresses the Paris attacks in greater depth). We also look at new science being applied to human ancestry in Europe, as well as a new continuity that has been discovered between mathematical formulae and quantum physics. Then in hour two, author Joshua Cutchin and blogger Red Pill Junkie join us to discuss science, philosophy, and the “war on consciousness.” Our discussion begins as Micah sets the record straight on a recent claim that a “psychic” had confirmed for him the existence of an underground base in a protected wilderness, which Josh and RPJ chime in about with due hilarity, and analysis about the pitfalls of belief in the absence of rationalism. Then we move on to the discussion of consciousness, as well as philosophy, and even altered states of consciousness as it relates to the use of psychedelic substances.
