This week on The Gralien Report, scientists have found a potential ‘missing link’ in chemistry that led to life on earth; elsewhere, an astronomy team is going digging into what they call “cosmic archaeology,” and new reports of a “spectacular” giant glowing ball of light in the sky in Siberia led some to interpret the phenomenon as a giant UFO… however, the explanation behind this one is remarkably similar to a story from the region dating back several years. Also, Tom DeLonge is back in the news after a recent appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast… but rather than any revelations, we focus on what he didn’t say.  Then later in the program, in addition to allowing one of our listeners to explain why you can, in fact, potentially hear a person scream in the vacuum of space, we turn our attention to the recent discovery of a mysterious new chamber within Egypt’s Great Pyramid. This week on The Gralien Report, we celebrate Halloween in true Gralien style, as we explore the eerie, and the enjoyable… from reports of “blood thieves” in Malawi, to “malevolent catfish” in the southeastern United States. Indeed, Halloween draws much of its inspiration from the ancient Celtic tradition of “Samhain.” Thus, we examine everything from ancient traditions and practices from around the world, to the unusual beliefs that make Halloween so enjoyable in its many forms. In the second hour, we go even deeper down the disconcerting hole of the hare, and search for ghost stories, the most frightening urban legends, and Micah’s own personal experience in the middle of nowhere one evening when, off in the distance, he and his company began hearing the unmistakable sound of drumming… what was it the Gralien Gang experienced? This week on The Gralien Report, a series of fossil teeth found in Germany are what scientists say could be the latest discovery to rewrite human history… elsewhere, the origins of gold in our universe have been uncovered as well. However, one of the most unique studies we’ve come across this week involves a major study, which purportedly shows that our minds still work after the body shows no signs of life… what does this say about studies involving claims of “life after death”? Later, William Patrick Corgan, singer of The Smashing Pumpkins, recently told Howard Stern that he saw a human “shapeshifter”, adding that what he observed was “hard to explain,” as shapeshifters do tend to be. However, our primary focus this hour has to do with claims that NASA and other agencies were working to “suppress” Carl Sagan’s private interest in the concept of ancient visitation to Earth by alien beings. While it is known that Sagan had authored scientific work on this possibility, the “evidence” that government agencies had been trying to hide this fact from the public is lacking, to say the least. This week on The Gralien Report, Micah returns from storm-chasing out on the Atlantic, and shares some of the highlights of his recent journeys, which included a stop over in Bermuda to visit the island’s enigmatic crystal caves. In other news, there have been several “doomsday” theories pertaining to the arrival of September 23rd, a date some believed would ultimately prove to be (gasp!) the end of the world.
