Scott Mozingo teaches from chapter 2 on Jesus' dedication and childhood. Through the words of Simeon, we find that Jesus has come not only to bring truth to all nations, but also to reveal hearts. Jesus confronts the true state of our hearts, and we will either fall in opposition or rise with Him.

Matt Williams teaches from Luke 2 on the humble way Jesus entered the world. In the passage, angel warriors appear to lowly shepherds to declare peace and announce the coming of a true King, one who will use death itself to destroy sin.

Luke presents Jesus as the one who will solve our biggest problem - sin, whereas Israel was looking for a messiah to save them from Rome. Matt explores both of these ideas in this passage on Zechariah's prophecy.

Bill opens our series on Luke with a reminder that the human authors of ancient scripture were concerned about the accuracy and historicity of what they were reporting. We also learn that Christ's coming was something that would exalt the lowly but bring down the high and lofty.

Matt Williams exhorts us not to take over the earth through our own strength but to wait, in meekness, for the Lord to exalt us.
