In Episode 10 of HaunTopic Radio we discuss the essentials for Molding Your Own Mask, Where to Get the Supplies, & Where to Buy One if you don’t want to spend the creativity & time to do it. Making your own mask for the first time can be a rewarding and learning experience & designing another one will be too. With a little cash and a few hours you can have a few solid molds that you can replicate many masks from and hand them out to your actors. Make each one different with a unique paint job, tears, half-masks, hair, scars, etc. Heck, you can even let the actors design their own. It’s a Haunt….things are supposed to be strange. What we discovered on this journey of mold making & mask vendors…..there is an endless supply out there! Information overload on how to make one and 100’s of stores selling them. So by no means is this ALL of the resources we found. We HIGHLY recommend buying from your local hobby stores & factories before buying online. But if you don’t have that luxury here is the next best thing. These are just a few from recommendations from our facebook friends and personal experiences.     In Episode 7 of HaunTopic Radio we interview Michael Bruner from The National Halloween, Horror, Haunted House, and Hearse Convention which will be held at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center on May 4th, 5th, & 6th. He shares his insights on the show, what makes it different than the other conventions, and fills us in on who is getting married at the show! I know we said that we would be releasing new episodes on the 6th, 16th, & 26th of each month; however, with it being the start of Convention Season- we just can’t seem to help ourselves. We will be keeping up with all the conventions and we will be releasing those as soon as we finish each one. So I guess you can call them bonus episodes. You won’t mind too much, right?   In Episode 6 of HaunTopic Radio, we discuss Why It’s Important to go to Haunt and Halloween Events and maybe help you discover some shows you didn’t know about. We’re taking a few clips from the Transworld Haunt Show 2012 and a few other surprises along the way.. I made it back from the Transworld Halloween & Haunted Attractions Show and survived the Crazies at the Insane Shane Party. I spent Thursday night with my wife dancing with freaky characters (some small and some large) and recorded lots of video and audio for HaunTopic Radio from the Trade Room Floor on Friday & Saturday. "The curious queue line wraps around the lobby and out the door. I feel the vibrations from the deep bass in the music but can't quite understand it. Zombies and SteamPunk Creatures weave through the crowd. I try to push the excitement deep down so no one senses that I'm a newbie at this. As the line gets shorter, I feel the sweat breaking through my skin as it signals me to remain calm. The last time I felt this way was at the entrance to my first Haunted House. Jay has worked on projects from The Batman Costume to custom projects for The Knotts Scary Farm. His CGI (Computer Generated Image) Props and Animatronics can be seen in Haunted Attractions and Home Haunts everywhere. We also discuss the difference between Juneau Studios and Pale Night Productions. Both companies that build animated props that use computer technology to bring ordinary props beyond the WOW factor. Well, here is our very first episode of haunTopic Radio, a podcast by Haunters for Haunters. We have some interviews lined up, some good topics to cover, and many great ideas to add into the podcast.
