Tailback Jacquizz Rodgers of Oregon State has been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Week.
Quarterback Marshall Lobbestael of Washington State has been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Offenisve Player of the Week. A redshirt freshman from Oak Harbor, Wash., who had thrown only two passes all year, came off the bench to lead WSU to a 48-9 win.
Return man Mike Thomas has been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Special Teams Player of the Week. Thomas, a senior also from DeSoto, Texas, had 257 all-purpose yards against UCLA.
Defensive back Corey Hall has been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week. Hall, a junior from DeSoto, Texas, posted six tackles, four solo, including one quarterback sack and broke up two passes, leading Arizona's defensive effort.
Quarterback Mark Sanchez of USC has been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Offensive Football Player of the Week. Sanchez, a junior from Mission Viejo, Calif., threw four touchdown passes while completing 17 of 28 passes (.607) for 172 yards.
Rey Maualuga of USC has been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Defensive Football Player of the Week. Maualuga, a senior from Eureka, Calif., returned an interception 48 yards for a touchdown and also posted five tackles.
Place kicker Matt Evensen of Oregon has been named U.S. Bank Pac-10 Football Special Teams Players of the Week. Evensen, a senior from Portland, Ore., played a critical role in Oregon's 32-26 double-overtime road win at Purdue.
Kick returner Keola Antolin, a true freshman from Las Vegas, averaged 32.7 yards on three kickoff returns in Arizona's 41-16 win against Toledo. Included were returns of 37 and 41 yards.
Munns, a junior from Queens Creek, Ariz., keyed Arizona State's defensive effort in the Sun Devils' 41-17 win against Stanford. Munns posted a team-high seven tackles, five solo, including 1 tackle for loss and intercepted a pass, returning it 16 yards.
Best, a sophomore from Vallejo, Calif., sparked the California offense in the Golden Bears' 66-3 win at Washington State. Best carried the ball 14 times for 200 yards and three touchdowns, including scoring runs of 80 and 86 yards.
Sanchez, a junior from Mission Viejo, Calif., showed he is more than ready to take over the reins as USC starting quarterback in the Trojans' 52-7 win at Virginia. Sanchez completed 26 of 35 passes for a career-high 388 yards.
Forbath, a sophomore from Pacific Palisades, Calif., was a perfect two-for-two on field goals from 41 and 42 yards in UCLA's 27-24 upset win in overtime against Tennessee. The 42-yard field goal was the game winner in overtime.
Osaisai, a senior, led the Stanford defense in the Cardinal's 36-28 season-opening upset win against Oregon State. Osaisai had a team-high 11 tackles, nine solo and broke up two passes.
