Shortcast: An Exalted Fishing Pole | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:40

Hello everybody, Rewt here from HearthCast.com with another shortcast. When I was doing my Daily's yesterday, I hit Exalted with the Kalu'ak People. You know, the walrus people in Northerned. I've been waiting to hit that level of reputation for a while... just because of the Mastercraft FishingPole that Sairuk, the quartermaster in Moa'ki Harbor, sells. The pole sells for about 102 gold, and has the following stats: Mastercraft Kalu'ak Fishing Pole447-673 Damage / 186.5 per secondRequires fishing 300Requires The Kalu'ak - ExaltedEquip: Increased Fishing +30Equip: Allows underwater breathing.Sairuk the Quartermaster also sells a little pet penquin for 9 gold, too.The daily quests to get the exalted reputation for the Kalu'ak are pretty simple to do, and are usually not too crowded. So, head on out there, get your daily's done, your rep up, and pick up a pet and a fishing pole from Sairuk the Kalu'ak Quartermaster in Mao'ki Harbor... Don't forget! This Tuesday, Freckleface and I are back with our full lengthpodcast on Hearthcast.com, featuring news, information, insight, hints, tips, lore, stories, and more...until then, this has been Rewt, fromhearthcast.com

A WoW Gold Making Tip Explained | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:22

Rewt here from HearthCast.com with another shortcast - in an earlierpodcast I mentioned a gold making tip that can easily result in highprofits for a minor investment... that tip, buying limited items fromvendors, has resulted in a nice flurry of emails - not all of them nice.To clarify, not all vendors have limited items, and you'll need to lookthrough all the pages of items the vendor has listed to find them. The items have a number in parenthesis next to them. Also, they're not just around banks or auction houses. Any NPC selling something has the potential to sell a limited number item. I've got atip that I'm going to share with everyone on this week's full length podcast about one limited item in particular, and a unique way a personis farming it.So, check us out this Tuesday when Freckleface and I publish our full length podcast.  Childrens Week - the Who's, Whats, and Hows | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 3:30

There are two reasons for adopting an orphan: 1. You want a new furry friend 2. You want the title Matron/Patron either for itself or for part of "What along, strange trip it's been" If you want a new pet, here's an opportunity for TWO new ones this week. Whatmost people don't realize is everyone can pick up two orphan whistles, one from Shattrathand one from Stormwind or Orgimmar Each whistle gives a quest chain that ends with a pet reward. Finishing the chain will give you “Aw, Isn't it Cute” For the title, there are five other that achievements seem easy enough but thereare a few catches... “Home Alone” - self explanatory “Bad example” - easy, but very expensive. Most of the items are Aimee in Dalaran. Tasty Cupcake and Delicious chocolate cake are only made by highly skilledcooks. At the moment there's a lot of price gouging on the items and their ingredients, so if you don't cook perhaps you can farm the mats yourself and tryto find someone who will craft it for you for cheap. “Daily Chores” - all this requires at the moment is for you to turn in 5 daily quests with your orphan out. “Hail to the King, Baby “- This rules out anyone below level 75. “School of Hard Knocks” - seems to be the most difficult. Lots of aggressive pvp action. Enjoy the week, and don't forget to tune in on Tuesday with a full lenght podcast from Rewt and myself here at Hearthcast.com!

Warlocks - our time is NOW | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 2:27

For the people who thought that Warlocks were the forgotten class in Warcraft... our time has come!Warlocks are now going to be an asset for raids! The proof is easy - just look at some of the changes that made it in for patch 3.1 -Specifically, soul shard management is now more easily managed.Drain Soul: Each time Drain Soul deals damage to a target which can grant experience, it now has a chance to generate a Soul Shard.Soul Shard: This item now has a maximum count of 32 in inventory.I hate soul shard farming, and am glad to see those two changes...Improved Shadow Bolt: Increases the damage done by your Shadow Bolt spell by 5%, and your Shadow Bolt causes your target to be vulnerable to spell damage, increasing spell critical strike chance against that target by 5%. Effect lasts 30 sec.Notice it says SPELL DAMANGE, not "your spell damage" or "shadow spells" - this means anyone else casting on the target reapls the benefits... this is awesome in any kind of party.Improved Soul Leech: Your Soul Leech effect also restores mana to you and your summoned demon equal to 2% of maximum mana, and has a 100% chance to grant up to 10 party or raid members mana regeneration equal to 0.25 of maximum mana per second. Lasts for 15 sec.Warlocks With REPLENISH? Life is good! So, choose your talents wisely, and update your LFG macros to include what you're bringing to the raid... warlocks are now an asset not to me overlooked.

 50, No Make That 51 Pets! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:50

Today I finally got my Reeking Pet Carrier as a reward for obtaining 50 pets. Which naturally opened up a new achievement for getting 75, but anyways... What really kind of irked me is looking at the auction house and seeing that the White Kitten goes for 150 gold. The pet is a limited sell from the rare spawn vendor Lil Timmy who runs around in Stormwind. The thing is, I know I had that kitten before Wrath of the Lich King came out.I didn't have the bag space and it took me three attempts to sell it for 5 gold.Of course at the time I didn't know that there would be a day when I woudln't need bag space for pets, mounts, or tokens. OR that people just as myself would get so carried away over achievements that many low level items would balloon in price. But that just shows you the usefulness of the WOW community. And if you're listening to this you know how helpful it is to stay on top of new developments in the game. So I shouldn't have to tell you now is a really good time to fish for Borean Man o' War, since in 3.1 and it will be used to make the best buff food in the game. Make sure you do tune in this Tuesday with Freckleface and Rewt, and we'll have a full lenght episode jam packed with helpful content.

Cooperation or Manipulation? | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:51

Have you ever been in a situation where someone was trying to use their abilities to manipulate the group? I was in a raid the other day when a warlock started with some bad behavior. At the time we were forming a raid to attack a capital city, and every new person who joined would ask for a summon. However, there was only one warlock in the group, and it took him a bit to get to the location. In the meantime, every request infuriated him and he started lashing out at people asking. When it was time to move onto the next city and some players had dropped out, the warlock refused to summon newcomers until we had a full raid.   Now of course I wanted to tell that lock a few things. That he was being immature and selfish. That if everyone acted like that - healers refusing to heal, tanks not tanking, etcetera - nothing would ever get done. That if he didn't want to help the group, he needed to leave so we could find someone else to fill their spot.     But I didn't. And if I was the raid leader, I would have taken a proactive approach with by telling him nicely that we needed the summons and that we appreciated him for helping us out. Because although the lock was in the wrong, maybe a few encouraging words would have calmed him down and the raid would have been more successful. Just goes to show you that having people skills and being a team player is as important in World of Warcraft as being geared. So mind your manners and play nice.
