 Comic Timing – Episode 152 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:40:35

According to Brent, this episode is titled, “The Back-Up Plan: The All Bitching Episode.” Although we do a lot more than just bitch, I promise. Brent and I are joined by Mr. Raphael Soohoo as we discuss The Flash’s new TV outfit, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the season so far (including the Sif episode), The Lego Movie, Brent’s review of Justice League: War, the official cancellation of Beware The Batman!, the announcement of the Arkham Knight game, my thoughts on Fables: The Worlf Among Us, and plenty more. We also review some comics, including Forever Evil #6, Superman/Wonder Woman #6 both She-Hulk and Ms. Marvel #1, Secret Avengers, Image Comics’ Zero and some other stuff here and there. As a warning, there was a chirping noise that kept recurring throughout the recording. We couldn’t trace the source, so it’s there throughout. I did my best to get rid of it whenever possible, but it’s still there occasionally. Shouldn’t be too loud or annoying, I swear! Also, next week we should be joined by Sean and Jim of Raging Bullets, as due to power outages we had to push their episode back a week. So barring any other weird weather, it shall be done!  Comic Timing – Episode 150!!! | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:29:51

Strike up the band and sound the alarms, because Comic Timing has reached its sesquicentennial! To commemorate the occasion, Brent and Ian are joined by the Patrons of Comic Book Podcasting, the Sultans of Speaking Geek…Comic Geek Speak! That’s right, Shane Kelly, Adam Murdough and Jamie D are on the show as we all discuss Team Books. Team Books were last covered on the show waaaaaaaay back in Episode 10A (two co-hosts ago!). And for those of you who regularly listen to CGS, enjoy the segment included within this episode, music and all. Speaking of listening, Brent and I want to put a huge thanks out to the listeners that have stuck by us over the years.  Comic Timing Extra Point – Episode 6: Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 52:01

This past weekend, Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark turned off the lights and packed up its sets for good at the Foxwoods Theater on Broadway. To commemorate the passing of the troubled musical (okay fine, it’s moving to Las Vegas), Ian is joined for this Extra Point, for the first time, by friend and fellow geek Austin Cantrell, who got to the see the original version of the play before Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa was brought in the try and fix it; Ian got to see it post-Taymor in mid-December of 2013. Ian and Austin compare versions and notes (with Kris chiming in from time to time) as we try to figure out just what went wrong here. We also discuss various other missteps, including what eventually became “The Emperor’s New Groove,” which was then titled “Kingdom of the Sun.” You can check out the documentary on “Kingdom of the Sun” at the link embed below.
