 Spoilers for 7×10 “The Eighth Witch” and beyond – ONCE321 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:46

Get to know the latest details before this Friday’s Winter finale including the episode’s press release, promo and set photos in this spoilers-only podcast of “The Eighth Witch”! “The Eighth Witch” When Drizella threatens the realm with a dark curse, Henry and Ella take extreme actions to protect Lucy and the others; and Regina is forced into making an unimaginable choice. In Hyperion Heights, Roni recruits Henry to travel to San Francisco to search for her sister, but when he learns Lucy has fallen unconscious, Henry rushes to be by her side. Meanwhile, Gothel earns the trust of Anastasia and the consequences of their budding relationship could prove to be fatal. “The Eighth Witch” was written by Jane Espenson & Jerome Schwartz, and directed by Ralph Hemecker. Guest starring in this episode are Rose Reynolds as Alice/Tilly, Adelaide Kane as Drizella/Ivy, Emma Booth as Witch/Gothel/Eloise Gardener, Rebecca Mader as Zelena/Kelly, Nathan Parsons as Nick Branson, Yael Yurman as Anastasia, Sara Tomko as Tiger Lily and Tiera Skovbye as Robin. The promo for “The Eighth Witch” is very Regina-Zelena focused that will surely leave everyone hanging. Opening with Wish Realm Hook in a room with several people and what looked like the Dark Curse coming. We then see Regina walking through the woods seeing Zelena and looking like she has no idea why and how she got there. Also in the promo, Zelena said, “they are not creatures, they’re witches.” Is she referring to the seven other witches? Who is the eighth witch? Also from “The Eighth Witch” promo, we see a picture of Gothel holding Anastasia close to her, then cutting to Regina saying she wants to fight witches with witches. In the same scene were Cinderella holding someone in a hood captive, Wish Realm Hook with a knife to Gothel’s neck, then cutting quickly over to Hyperion Heights. But now that Anastasia is awake, what does Victoria want next? She’s got what she wanted, after all. Moving over to the set photos for “The Eighth Witch” consist of the same scene with Rumplestiltskin as Weaver, Victoria and Anastasia all around the table in the Evidence Room. In a different angle, Rumple/Weaver is looking at knives, as well as a shot of Anastasia picking up the Dark One dagger. Is Anastasia the Guardian? In another shot, a set of knives were seen rammed into a cabinet door. As of this recording, the cast is about to go on a filming break ’til the rest of the year, and will be back filming after the New Year’s and keep going until we see the series go back. Do you have any theories or spoilers for “The Eighth Witch”? Share all of them with us by jumping over the forum now!

 One Little Tear – ONCE320 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:02:33

Join us as we untangle Rapunzel and her backstory, Gothel and Rumplestiltskin’s quest for the Guardian, as well as Lucy’s belief and more in this in-depth discussion of “One Little Tear”! Contrary to what we predicted last week, it turns out we stayed in Seattle instead of following Regina/Roni and Henry in San Francisco. Furthermore, it’s interesting because season 1’s penultimate episode to the season finale ended with young Henry collapsing after eating the poisoned apple turnover, much like Lucy did for this episode, only it was because of her one little tear when Victoria stole her belief. Untangling Rapunzel We liked how woven the storyline is; it gave us information about the Guardian, Mother Gothel and Eloise Gardener. It answered a lot of the questions that we had, like what happened to Anastasia? How did Drizella become this bitter? It tied up everything. Even Gothel’s comment is very foreshadowing of what we discovered in the end, which is that she was actually looking for the hero pure of heart; the Guardian. However, if Gothel adapted the blood magic in the tower which was designed specifically for Rapunzel’s bloodline, and was later trapped in the tower herself which she had a baby in, does that mean the blood magic adapted to Gothel’s blood? On the other hand, they could’ve used the same actress who plays Victoria now to play Rapunzel. Lana Parrilla, for example, once played a younger version of Regina and it worked, same with Jennifer Morrison who also played a younger version of Emma Swan so there doesn’t seem a reason for them to recast a younger actress to play Rapunzel. That said, the story is very clever, even the order of telling it as it gives a little more history to little things we don’t know, such as the tower. The backstory gave us sympathetic side to the villain but also didn’t have that bad. She was really not justified to poisoning Cecelia in any way. The weird thing is it makes Drizella sort of a psychopath for shutting her mother completely out. She also seemed closer to Cinderella in the flashbacks. The lanterns, however, was straight out of Tangled and the sun in the lanterns was their family’s sigil. But while they strayed too far from the movie Tangled, it was nice that Rapunzel got out of the tower on her own using her hair, rather than throwing her hair down and having some prince come up to rescue her from the tower. And despite Drizella being cold to her mother, Rapunzel seemed like she wants to hug her daughter. On the other hand, Anastasia isn’t too bright going out on the ice, as was her father for not jumping back in to the water for her. A lot of this episode reminds us of Frozen, but also Into the Woods. Gothel and her garden, for one, is a reminiscent of The Witch from Into the Woods. The three young girls playing with a snowman also looks like something pulled from Frozen and The Little Women. After all, Rapunzel was in Into the Woods. And when Rapunzel rushed into the garden, it showed Gothel’s cards as well, revealing that she was seeking for the Guardian. Is she thinking about passing the torch of being the Guardian or simply looking for the Guardian? What is she looking for the Guardian for? Is she the Dark One of this realm? What was the purpose of putting a spell on Anastasia? Does this mean that Anastasia, or Lucy, might possibly be the Guardian? Heroes always find a way Lucy, in this episode, is disappointing. She knows that Victoria is her evil grandmother, but it was also clever of Victoria to give Lucy enough to believe and lose hope in...

 Spoilers for 7×09 “One Little Tear” and Beyond – ONCE319 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 13:58

Episode press release, promos and set photos, and a little information that gives away who Lady Tremaine really is! Plus, casting news, episode titles and future episode schedules in this podcast of the “The Stable Boy” of the season where we finally learn what exactly has been going on with the villain of the arc, “One Little Tear”. “One Little Tear” Victoria strikes a deal with Weaver in an attempt to free herself from jail and wake Anastasia, but the cost of saving one life could mean the loss of another. In a flashback, we learn Lady Tremaine’s surprising connection to another classic fairytale when Mother Gothel offers to help her family. Meanwhile, Jacinda and Nick share an exchange that could alter her future with Henry. “One Little Tear” was written by Christopher Hollier & Adam Karp, and directed by Steve Pearlman, with guest stars including Adelaide Kane as Drizella/Ivy, Meegan Warner as Rapunzel, Emma Booth as Witch/Gothel/Eloise Gardener, Nathan Parsons as Nick Branson, Matty Finochio as Marcus, Yael Yurman as Tween Anastasia, Anna Cathcart as Tween Drizella, Sophia Reid-Gant as Young Anastasia and Lula Mae Melench as Young Drizella. Although they are pretty much the same, we got two promos for “One Little Tear” this time, with Mother Gothel talking to Rapunzel saying that she swore to pay any price for her family’s happiness. This makes an entirely different storyline from what we know in Tangled because she doesn’t kidnapped Rapunzel as a baby. Furthermore, we also see Rapunzel scream for help at the tower in the promo, with the camera pulling back quickly. Flashing then back to the story book, where we see one whole page with a picture of what looked like Rapunzel laying some girl down and a voice over saying that there’s going to be a tale of sacrifice. The voice over then goes to saying that there’s also going to be tales of revenge, with a clip of Weaver and Victoria breaking into the crypt. Are they gonna go after Anastasia, then? After all, Anastasia’s body has been moved and nobody knows where she is. The promo for “One Little Tear” also shows Lucy looking very upset, Rapunzel tossing something into the mirror and shattering it. Finally, we see Victoria telling Lucy that fairy tales are real but she doesn’t know the whole story. The second promo for “One Little Tear” shows the same voiceovers, but the difference in this one is we get a really good look at one of the scenes in the story book, which then comes to life in the snow and everyone dressed up with a guy diving into the ice after the girl that falls into it. Could this girl be Anastasia? While the two promos for “One Little Tear” shows a lot, the set photos gave nothing away. It consists of three people in one scene—Rapunzel, Mother Gothel and some guy—photographed in different angles. On the other hand, Adam Horowitz shared a script tease for this Friday’s episode, which is an exchange between Eloise and Weaver talking about Belle. General Season 7 Spoilers Appearing in the episode “Knightfall” is Chad Rook as Captain Ahab from Moby Dick fame. This confirms that episode 7×13 is about Wish Realm Hook. Furthermore, Adam Horowitz also shared a new episode title via Twitter. Episode 7×14 “The Girl in the Tower” is written by Dana Horgan & Leah Fong.

 Pretty in Blue – ONCE318 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:29:37

Is anyone’s heart truly poisoned? Why won’t Rumplestiltskin/Weaver help Regina? Hear these questions answered plus a conversation about realm-jumping (or the lack thereof), the bizarre love triangle between Henry, Jacinda and Nick, kryptonized hearts, a theory connecting to the forgotten Disney movie, Gothel’s vegan magic and another theory about this possibly multi-layered curse in this full-discussion of “Pretty in Blue”! The computer graphics and the sets, not just here in the episode “Pretty in Blue” but also in other episodes this season is better than the past seasons. The Infinite Maze in Wonderland, for example, is better in this episode than the past episodes. The lighting and the coloring, as well as the green-screen worked a lot better. It was also nice hearing the first mention of podcasting on the show, when Ivy told Henry, “Have you ever considered making your blog into a podcast? Belfry industries could be your sponsor.” Did they put it in there just for the podcasters of the show? Out of the two of the same night, “Pretty in Blue” was more exciting than the episode “Eloise Gardener.” It was interesting that we got a hint of what Drizella could’ve done to Henry, which probably isn’t really what she ended up doing. “Pretty in Blue” also had some good dialogues; funny and enjoyable. Bizarre Love Triangle Is it really a triangle? In this situation, Nick surely is the Katherine in this situation. But with Ivy dripping with creepiness and her hidden agenda, is it possible that a part of what she’s saying is genuine? Is that even for his own documentation and why bother recording horizontal video if it’s only for his blog, which he only need an audio recording of? Did anyone catch the Wonderland reference when Nick and Jacinda had a dinner in Walrus and Company, and they were eating oysters? This time, apparently, Jack the Giant Slayer is a guy and that’s Nick. But how long will Nick be on the show? Will he be the reason for Henry wanting to leave the Heights? On the other hand, Operation Food Truck is very Henry. Plus, the mixtape that Jacinda made for Henry is called Operation Food Truck. Is Nick going to be that much of an interference? Or will he leave after next week’s episode? Is Jacinda interested in the new Nick? Did it not seem to be a conflict of interest by having Nick, Jacinda’s lawyer, is also the father of the child the mother is trying to take custody of? Nick, Lucy’s father, who has been absent for ten years and hasn’t been around until Jacinda called for help? The New Wonderland Is it the same Wonderland or is this an entirely new Wonderland? When Alice was in the maze in Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, she made herself small in the maze to get into Cyrus’ bottle. In this episode, however, Cinderella made herself small before she enter the Infinite Maze. When Alice was talking about how Cinderella’s mother passed away, she said that Cecilia was killed by the “Jabberwock”, as opposed to referring to it as the “Jabberwocky.” Also, the locket that Cinderella had was similar to Charming’s ring when he went to search for Snow White back in season 1.

 Eloise Gardener – ONCE317 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 49:02

Who is Lady Tremaine? Why is Weaver hiding the truth from Rogers? Will Rumplestiltskin work with Regina to try to defeat this season’s big bad? All these plus a discussion about fake Rapunzel, Eloise Gardener and more in our full-discussion of “Eloise Gardener.” After so many episodes now, we’ve seen the same backdrop for the blue title card, which shows Seattle. Looking at the title card, we noticed the similarities between the Seattle Space Needle and the general shape of the tower. Eloise Gardener “Eloise Gardener” spoiled it a little bit too quickly that Alice is Eloise before they revealed it because Eloise means “famous in war” and Tilly means “strength in war”. And what is Alice famous for? Slaying the Jabberwocky, which makes her famous in war and this episode sort of confirms that. There shouldn’t be a “Many Years Ago” in Wish Realm. It was created by a wish, after all. In the Wish Realm, the Dark Curse wasn’t cast so they actually have about 30-35 years to play with. However, these aren’t just memories we saw, but actual events taking place years ago. At this point, we can try to make sense of the timeline as much as possible but it seems we can’t necessarily mix them at all with the timeline that we know from the Once Upon a Time proper over the last 6 years. After all, the characters as well as the storyline is different anyway. Fake Rapunzel Is this tower where we meet Rapunzel/Gothel the same as the one where Regina taught Drizella magic? It also seems that the magic that Drizella found was the exact same dead flower in the box that fake Rapunzel showed in this episode. If Gothel posed as Rapunzel, does this mean that Lady Tremaine IS the real Rapunzel? After all, Victoria Belfry had some history with Gothel in present day Hyperion Heights, plus her statement at the end of the episode to Drizella/Ivy about her not having any idea what she let crawl out to this world. Victoria’s last name is Belfrey, which could mean tower Like Regina’s last name being Mills was a hint that she was somehow connected to the Miller’s Daughter — MatthewPaul An interesting thing to point out when Gothel and Victoria were talking outside the tower is when Victoria referenced that the witch taught her how to break a heart. The witch is also known for having a green thumb. Drizella’s motivation regarding Jacinda and Lucy is confusing, however, Adelaide Kane as Drizella/Ivy does a fantastic job playing the part. She looks heartbroken when the Social Services separated Jacinda and Lucy away from each other. Drizella clearly doesn’t want the curse broken that’s why she put in the special fail safe, so what is her motivation regarding Jacinda and Lucy? Is she simply being a wicked stepsister? Gothel’s nature of deception with Captain Hook is nasty, yucky, manipulative and deceptive but at least a baby came out of it, and she is definitely Alice/Eloise’s mother. Back in Hyperion Heights, however, Rogers took the very same vengeful witch who is the mother of the girl he’s looking for. What is Weaver/Rumplestiltskin’s motivation here? If he has and knows about the Dark One dagger,

Spoilers for 7×07 and 7×08 “Eloise Gardener” and “Pretty in Blue” and Beyond – ONCE316 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 17:08

Press release, episode photos and interviews, plus future episode schedules and everything you need to know about the upcoming two-hour episode this Friday that is “Eloise Gardener” and “Pretty in Blue”. “Eloise Gardener” and “Pretty in Blue” In pursuit of revenge, Hook seeks a dark and powerful magic, but an encounter with Rapunzel could alter his fate forever. Meanwhile, in Hyperion Heights, Ivy’s plot to take down Victoria intensifies and has unexpected consequences for Jacinda and Lucy. Rogers enlists Henry and Tilly’s help in his ongoing quest to find the missing Eloise Gardner, but what he discovers isn’t what meets the eye. “Eloise Gardener” was written by David H. Goodman & Brigitte Hales and directed by Alex Kalymnios, with guest stars including Guest starring in this episode are Christopher Gauthier as Smee, Adelaide Kane as Drizelle/Ivy, Rose Reynolds as Alice/Tilly, Emma booth as The Witch and Meegan Warner as Rapunzel. In an attempt to prevent a distressed Alice from running away, Henry and Ella follow her into Wonderland. Once there, Henry realizes that Ella has a surprising connection to this strange world. In Hyperion Heights, Jacinda reconnects with an old friend in a last ditch effort to regain custody of Lucy, but her decision to enlist outside help could put a strain on her burgeoning relationship with Henry. “Pretty in Blue” was written by Dana Horgan and Leah Fong, and directed by Ralph Hemecker. Guest stars for the episode includes Adelaide Kane as Drizelle/Ivy, Rose Reynolds as Alice/Tilly, Emma booth as The Witch, Trevor Roberts as Remy, and Nathan Parsons as Nick Branson. Who is Nick Branson? Is he the adult version of baby Neal? Meanwile, the promo for “Eloise Gardener” and “Pretty in Blue” starts of with the Evil Queen in the Enchanted Forest talking about a map to a tower in a distant realm. Is it our Regina or this new realm’s version of the Evil Queen? Hook then comes over the edge climbing up to the tower, and meets Rapunzel with a frying pan in one hand. Flashing over to Henry seeing Alice, and Henry and Cinderella jumping into a portal to Wonderland and them practicing sword-fighting. Back in Hyperion Heights, we see Rogers with his gun, and ending with Regina at Roni’s talking to Weaver and asking him what the name Rumplestiltskin means to him. Promotional Photos For the photos for the episodes “Eloise Gardener” and “Pretty in Blue”, there’s a lot of images of Rapunzel and Hook in her tower for the first hour. Another photo is of Rapunzel showing Hook something inside a box. Rapunzel, looking a lot like a princess in the tower as opposed to the Tangled version of the fairy tale, which was dressed like a commoner. Based on this, it looks like this happened a long time ago since we still have the Evil Queen in this realm, and since Rumplestiltskin has changed ways, Hook might have gone to the Evil Queen to seek help in getting revenge. Does this mean that Rapunzel is Lady Tremaine and that this was how Wish Realm Hook and Lady Tremaine met and fall in love and ending up having a child together? There’s also a couple of photos of Ivy with the witch in the tower and it looks like she’s growing something new. In line with this, ABC recently released a couple of photos of Regina and Drizella are training in the woods, and one of the photos showed Drizella holding a yellow flower, which looks quite a lot like the flower in the movie Tangled. The images for “Pretty in Blue”, on the other hand, includes a lot of Henry, Regina and Cinderella in the Enchanted Forest,

 Wake Up Call – ONCE315 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:41:24

Is Lucy really Henry and Cinderella’s daughter? Who actually cast the Dark Curse? What is the bad thing that will happen to the people that Regina loves if the curse is broken? All these questions plus a lengthy conversation on Roni’s wake up call, Drizella and this Dark Curse, and more in this full-discussion of this well-acted episode, “Wake Up Call.” “Wake Up Call” is may be the best acted episode of the entire series. Perhaps not the best written episode, but the dialogues are good. Regina and Ivy, their back and forth, especially Lana Parrilla’s expression and without saying a word said so much is amazing. How she has to do that in acting, as well as Adelaide Kane’s, is fantastic. Adelaide Kane’s Drizella had the same depth as Lana Parrilla playing Regina. The title card showed a tower in ruins, however, the tower that we saw in the episode was not ruined. Does the bat in the tower have something to do with towers? Is the ruined tower the bat’s home? How is the tower relevant to the story? Is it more foreshadowing of things to come rather than necessarily relevant to this episode in itself? The Butterfly Effect Lucy is on the quest to finding the story book and have them touch it. But, Henry’s story book isn’t there. It also seems there aren’t a lot of illustrations in Henry’s book since he didn’t even recognize Roni the first time he met her at Roni’s. As far as we know, the book that Henry wrote is his story, not the one about the original Once Upon a Time story book. After all, this has adult Emma and young Henry getting two mothers, but also referencing the stories that were in the original book. Furthermore, this curse gave them the exact same background, just with more modern labels to it. Killian was actually shot and was actually saved; Roni actually tried to adopt a baby but got turned down; Henry basically has Emma’s story but he was actually born in prison. It seemed like it twisted their memories rather than erase them; their stories weren’t changed as much compared to Regina’s Dark Curse. The whole forgetting part of everything was always added to the curse. Zelena added the forgetting potion when she flew around before the curse hit. Regina also managed to add in and gave them new memories when she cast the original Dark Curse. What embellishment did Ivy add to this Dark Curse? Is this even THE Dark Curse or an entirely new curse? I have a new theory regarding Lucy. I’ve theorized that Lucy is not really Henry’s daughter and that she had to have been around when he met Cinderella for the timeline to work, but now I’m thinking something different. After this week’s episode and the revelations about Drizella, I just don’t feel like it would’ve taken her 10-11 years to build this curse. She’s a quick study and she would’ve never been patient enough to take that long for her revenge, unlike Rumple and Hook. So, I’m wondering if the fairies created Lucy, kind of like Dawn from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (for those who watched it). I’m wondering if she was implanted into Henry’s memories in the Enchanted Forest 2.0 as a way to help him get back to Jacinda during the curse. If we look at what Lucy has been saying to Henry, all she had said is that Henry and Jacinda are her parents and that they are cursed fairy tale characters. But she doesn’t seem to know anything about her past before the curse. The only people she recognizes from the curse are her parents. She had no idea who Roni was.

 Spoilers for 7×06 “Wake Up Call” and beyond – ONCE314 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:29

In this spoilers-only podcast for “Wake Up Call” and beyond, we talked about what the episode is about, the promo and promotional photos, and a couple of interviews teasing us about the upcoming episode. Plus, casting news and new episode titles! “Wake Up Call” Feeling like a third wheel as Henry and Cinderella’s relationship strengthens, Regina is surprised to find herself needed by Drizella, who is searching for magic. But when a brutal truth is revealed, it could lead Drizella down a dangerous path. In Hyperion Heights, Roni seeks Weaver’s help in finding answers, and Tilly offers Rogers some intriguing advice concerning Eloise Gardener. “Wake Up Call” was written by Jerome Schwartz & Jane Espenson and directed by Sharat Raju, with guest stars including Adelaide Kane as Drizella/Ivy, Rose Reynolds as Alice/Tilly and Emma Booth as The Witch. Promo for “Wake Up Call” was short and confusing, jumping back and forth the Enchanted Forest and Hyperion Heights. Opening with Henry talking with Roni about the photo of him and Roni as the Evil Queen, then goes in regarding to Regina as the most evil villain of all time. Quick flashing then to Drizella and Regina in another realm, with Regina talking to Drizella about revenge and it doing terrible things. Could this be the start of putting the curse into Drizella’s mind? Also in the promo, Drizella seems to be doing some magic, which she then give to Roni, but the promo quickly jumps back to Hyperion Heights of what looks like a forgetting potion. Is Roni going to be fully awake by the end of the episode or not? Is Ivy making the potion to remember or to forget? The promotional photos for “Wake Up Call”, on the other hand, consists of a scene in the woods in the other realm with Regina wearing a gorgeous outfit and looking like she’s ready for battle. Having her in a leather-clad black regalia making her looking like Xena: the Warrior Princess and Wonder Woman-ish, Regina talks to Drizella in the photo, who is dressed up like in the Dead of Winter, all bundled up in a cloak and staring at an object that Drizella is holding. There’s also a faraway shot and looks like they are standing in the ruins of a tower, with scattered debris all around it. Whose tower is that? Rapunzel’s? In another photo, Rumplestiltskin randomly walks into the woods, with Drizella standing looking prim and proper. General Season 7 Spoilers Entertainment Weekly sat with Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz and asked about the witch in the tower, and Horowitz teases that “without revealing too much, what we can tease is we’re going to learn more about that witch, we’re going to see her in flashbacks, and we’re going to see that she’s connected to multiple characters.” They also added that most of the audience have already guessed who she is. Is she Mother Gothel or Eloise Gardener? They were also asked about where does Henry pointing out that he was the kid in the photo with Regina will take us, to which Eddy Kitsis answered that it is “going to take us to strange places, especially for Roni, because this is now getting very crazy for her.” We also got a question concerning Ivy and Henry and TVLine’s Ask Ausiello reveals that Ivy has her sights set on Henry and “how he feels about it, we’ll have to wait and see. But she definitely seems like she is interested,” Eddy Kitsis replied. They were also asked if Naveen from The Princess and the Frog could pop up this seaso...

 Greenbacks – ONCE313 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 48:36

How long ’til Roni and Henry wakes up from the curse? Is the firefly ruby more important than we thought? More questions plus a conversation on the new Rumplestiltskin, the bat in the Belfry and Eloise Gardener in our in-depth discussion of the episode “Greenbacks.” And don’t call her Ivy… it’s Drizella! What a very interesting episode of Once Upon a Time. Although it was a fun story, it doesn’t seem to have much to discuss about. The New Rumplestiltskin This episode reminds us so much of the episode “Desperate Souls” back in season 1. The way that they positioned the voodoo guy, Dr. Facilier, makes us think that he’s a bigger character. Being stuck between two worlds, and the way he poofed out, if we don’t see him again, we’re not going to be left hanging like the characters that we’ve not seen again. The way that he seems so powerful made him seem like a Dark One. Is he the Dark One in this realm? What if he is the bat in the Belfry? If he’s trapped between two places, his actual form could be anything. Maybe he was just manifesting? Or is he just a throw-away villain? Is he the Ralph that Victoria regarded to in Hyperion Heights to wreck Mr. Cluck’s? Is he even in Hyperion Heights? Are we going to see the couple frogs again? With something as powerful as the firefly ruby, it seems like we are going to see it again as well, but are we going to? And with Dr. Facilier out there in the Enchanted Forest on the run with the firefly ruby, could it mean something in the future episodes? Back in Hyperion Heights, it’s the story of Once Upon a Time in beignets, which is commonly known in New Orleans as a breakfast served with powdered sugar on top, the same place the Frog Princess took place in. On the other hand, Sabine and Jacinda’s back and forth shows their relationship a lot. Jacinda was pretty hard core, serious and hard on Sabine. Then again, we haven’t seen a lot of backstory of how Sabine’s dream came to be. How much has passed from the auction to the ball? Eloise Gardener I wonder if the name Eloise is a reference to Lost. On Lost there was a mysterious character named Eloise Hawkin who had knowledge of parallel timelines and parallel realities. If the name connection is more than coincidence then perhaps Eloise is the mysterious Guardian Rumple is looking for. I think Eloise is more likely to be Hook’s daughter than Alice. Eloise is probably her cursed name and she probably had a different name in New Enchanted Forest. The witch in the tower is probably the vengeful witch who had Hook’s daughter locked up and is probably the evil that Eloise needed the runes to protect herself from. The fact that Eloise knew to draw the runes suggests that she like Alice might be at least partially awake. I suspect that Lady Tremaine was involved in her disappearance. Perhaps Lady Tremaine helped the vengeful witch imprison her in New Enchanted Forest as an act of revenge against Hook for whatever it was he did to her. Alternatively she may have somehow stolen her away from the vengeful witch for her own purposes. Whether she is the Guardian or not, I suspect that Eloise has some kind of magic that different people want. My original theory about Hook’s daughter was that she is ...

 Spoilers for 7×05 “Greenbacks” and beyond – ONCE312 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 16:47

Episode press release, set photos, promos and everything you need to know about the upcoming episode this Friday in this spoilers-only podcast for “Greenbacks.” Tiana seeks help from a traveling soothsayer, the iconic Dr. Facilier, in an attempt to save her kingdom. But when it’s revealed that he has an ulterior motive she’s forced to take matters into her own hands. In Hyperion Heights, Sabine and Jacinda take on a risky business venture, but the strength of their friendship is tested when Victoria interferes with their plans. Meanwhile, Ivy recruits Henry to investigate Victoria, and Roni makes a discovery that could change her relationship with Henry forever. Rogers uncovers a crucial clue in his search for Eloise Gardener. “Greenbacks” was written by Christopher Hollier & Adam Karp and directed by Geofrey Hildrew, with guest stars including Mekia Cox as Tiana/Sabine, Emma Booth as The Witch, Daniel Francis as Dr. Facilier, Kevin Ryan as Robert and Robin Givens as Eudora. Eloise Gardener is actually one of the titles of the upcoming episode. Is Eloise Gardener is Rogers’ daughter? As for the promo for “Greenbacks”, it starts off Tiana thinking that she’s going to live her life as a princess, filled with romance and trying to find love. She then comes across Dr. Facilier and he gestures her into a strange room and, at one point, Dr. Facilier holds what looks like a sword or a knife. Flashing forward to Hyperion Heights, however, Roni is in the Belfry tower and one of the vaults was opened. Whose vault was it? Regina’s or Victoria’s? Inside, she finds a picture of Regina and young Henry, and in a later scene, it looks like Roni showed it to Henry at the bar. One of the set photos for “Greenbacks” shows Jacinda and Sabine decides to venture into baking or cooking, and a lot of images of them in a kitchen, then a fire ensues but Sabine puts it out with a fire extinguisher. Another image shows Tiana in the other realm all dressed up in a yellow ball gown looking pretty and another guy, probably the Robert character. Is he the frog that Tiana kisses that turns into a prince? Entertainment Weekly also released a couple of set photos for “Greenbacks”, one of them includes a scene with Tiana and Dr. Facilier dressed as a carbon copy of the Disney film for The Princess and the Frog, leading Tiana into what looks like a cave. Entertainment Weekly asked Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz if we are going to get more into Tilly/Alice’s backstory soon, to which Eddy Kitsis saying that “we are going to be getting into her backstory. We are going to get a snippet of why she’s awake in this moment before the curse in the winter finale, and then we are going to be doing much more of her and her flashbacks in the second half of the season. We have a really fun arc planned coming up.” And when asked if this includes Wonderland, Kitsis said that it “absolutely includes going to Wonderland for an episode, but in a different way than you think.” He also added that there’s going to be a fun love story for her coming up.  Beauty – ONCE311 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:05:51

Who is the Guardian? Is Ivy trying to steal Henry from Jacinda? A theory on these plus a lengthy conversation about RumBelle’s bittersweet ending in this Once UPon a Time full-discussion podcast about “Beauty” sponsored by Creation Entertainment. So much of the episode “Beauty” was so much from the Disney Pixar’s movie “Up;” best episode of the season so far. As a Rumbeller, just wanted to say I loved this episode! We’ve been waiting for 7 yrs for happiness and we got it! Loved how the teacup has the power to transport between realms. I wonder if Tilly dropping the teacup rather than her shooting Weaver is what caused him to remember. Thanks for a great podcast. — Andrea T from Los Angeles, CA After seeing this episode, I felt I HAD to write in because….it was JUST SO GOOD. I was on team “let it die” after last season, and wasn’t planning on watching the reboot, but I have. I really loved seeing Rumple and Belle’s story play out. I loved that Rumple was finally happy without magic, that he, Belle, and Gideon lived a full life together, and the concept that letting his true love go was the first step in being able to free himself from the dagger forever. I cried. And finally…RUMPLE IS AWAKE!!! Thank you Once writers for not dragging it out forever! I’m also really liking Alice’s personality. The actress is doing a great job. Was she ever in Dr Who? If not, I think she’d make an amazing companion. This episode is my favorite of this season so far. I hope they wrap up a few more stories bc it was so satisfying!!! — Marci Smith I loved this episode! I feel the show really nailed it with the story of Belle and Rumpel’s journeys together. The “Up” setting was wonderful and reminded me how much I love the beginning of that movie. I like the new series (“spin off”) and appreciate how the creators have reimagined the stories. I actually like the parallels to the first season; it is a way for fans of the show to connect to the new location and characters. It is hard for many of us to let Snow, Charming, and Emma go. The familiarity of the original show is helpful to make a transition to something different. I believe they got it right. Great job on a wonderful podcast; thanks for continuing to bring us fans terrific discussions and information about our beloved show. — Debbie Behling This episode was a really good episode. I know there was already an Espensode this season, but this one could have been it. The dialogue between Rumbelle was so good. Such a good farewell. — Lindsay “Beauty” reminded me what I miss about the good parts of what ONCE can be when it has its amazing moments as a show. Much to my pleasant surprise, this was one of the most well-acted (especially Robert Carlyle, Emilie De Ravin, and Andrew J. West), well-developed stories, and well-executed episodes. It was moving, sad, and still left you wondering what happens to the current characters. — Keeper of Squid Ink I actually really enjoyed this episode and I’m not usually a Rumbelle fan. I love that Rumbelle took on the Carl and Ellie story from Up. It was such a beautiful end to their story like the first 10 minutes of up. Rumbelle even built a house just like the house from UP and the location even looks like paradise falls from UP. Alice kinda reminds me of Russell from UP. It’s only a perfect story because Belle was Rumple’s greatest adventure and now he has to find a new adventure. Alice is going to help Rumple on his new adventure. I also love this story because in Up, Mr. Frederickson was forced out of his home by big real estate guys to make huge apartments...

 Spoilers for 7×04 “Beauty” and beyond – ONCE310 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 14:51

Episode press release, episode trailer, promotional photos, some casting news, plus one episode still that might have just confirmed a heartbreaking theory about RumBelle’s fate. All these plus episode titles and casting news in our spoilers-only podcast for 7×04 “Beauty.” It’s Halloween in Hyperion Heights and Victoria forces Ivy to take Lucy trick-or-treating. Meanwhile, Tilly appears to be waking up from the curse and is intent on leading Weaver to the truth – but not if Victoria can help it. In a flashback, Rumple and Belle seek the answer to a prophecy that could cement their happy ending. “Beauty” was written by Dana Horgan & Leah Fong and directed by Mick Garris, with guest stars including Emilie De Ravin as Belle, Giles Matthey as Gideon, Rose Reynolds as Tilly/Alice and Adelaide Kane as Drizella/Ivy. Promo for 7×04 “Beauty” was short but tells a lot, starting off with Weaver down the street and Lucy trick-or-treating as skeleton. Tilly, meanwhile was seen as a white rabbit, hiding off Victoria’s backseat and scaring her off with a “boo.” This leads to Victoria saying that Tilly needs to be locked up. We also see her as a passenger in Weaver’s car and throws it into a different direction, causing the car to spin out. Then we flashed to Belle and Rumplestiltskin living in some land and if pay close enough attention, the house that is behind them is very distinct and completely modeled from the movie “Up.” Back in Hyperion Heights, Tilly pulls a gun on Weaver and when Weaver asked what she’s doing, she said that he was the one who told her to. Is Weaver awake? ABC only originally shared 4 photos for 7×04 “Beauty”, with Ivy seating behind her desk with a smile in her face, talking to Jacinda. Another image shows Victoria looking disgusted while holding the dirty book bag. TV Guide, on the other hand, released a few other episode stills of Belle and Rumple together in what looked like another realm and Belle is looking quite old with gray hair, wearing a white granny nightgown, confirming a theory that Belle is going to die of old age. They are probably going to show a flashback of Rumple and Belle’s life together showing them having a happily ever after and living side by side raising Gideon, and possibly raising Alice as well if the theory is correct that she is Rumple and Belle’s baby and finally, a high probability of Belle’s death in the episode. In another photo, Rumple, Belle and Gideon were seen together in a family hug. The other part of the theory is a little bit dark and in line with Rumplestiltskin. There’s a theory that Rumple’s motivation this season is he’s trying to reunite with Belle in the after life but because he might still be the Dark One, he can’t die because the only was he can die is by using the Dark One dagger on him. Will he realize that he has to live for his children? At least Belle won’t be killed… horribly. Adam Horowitz shared a script tease of Belle and Mr. Gold talking about taking a picture. On another note, there was a tweet that has been deleted that Sara Tomko, who played Tiger Lily in season 6, is returning but whether she will play the same character is unclear. Yael Yurman has also been cast to join this season and rumor has it that she is going to portray the role of young Anastasia. As for episode titles, 7×11, which is more likely going to be the mid-season finale, is called “Secret Garden” will be ...

 The Garden of Forking Paths – ONCE309 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:23:26

Lady Tremaine’s MO, Hyperion depths, the belle in the Belfry, and the young girl with the purest of hearts. Plus, Regina and Cinderella bonding, Henry’s family, and what Cinderella actually did in our full discussion of “The Garden of Forking Paths” sponsored by Creation Entertainment! As a whole, The Garden of Forking Paths is a decent episode. Dania J. Ramirez is a great actress and doing a fantastic job as Cinderella/Jacinda. Last episode was messy, but this episode was the complete opposite of that. It’s hard to get on board with this series as they are taking directions they (fans) didn’t want to go. We loved some things about it, but we expected more from it. They are clearly making things as they go, repeating plot lines we’ve seen and heard before and trying to fast-track it as opposed to what we’ve seen during the first season. But while the episode had its “meh” moments, it had a pretty clean storyline. It wasn’t confusing and there was even a timeline tie-in in the flashback with Henry, Regina and Hook, which they dovetailed very well with what is currently happening in Hyperion Heights. Lady Tremaine’s MO While the episode had weak contradictions, Lady Tremaine seems someone of prominence who Tiana, the leader of the resistance, plans to overthrow along with the Royal Family. At first, Tiana made it seem like the Prince and Lady Tremaine were on the same side, but later they made it sound like the Prince killed Cinderella’s father, but did he really or did Lady Tremaine plan it all along? Was the Prince forced to kill Cinderella’s father? Who is the Prince in Hyperion Heights? Is he even in Hyperion Heights? On the other hand, Tiana and Hook seemed to have a thing for each other, but is Tiana okay with Regina having magic? Did they even know that Regina was the Evil Queen? Do they even know about the Savior’s existence? Lady Tremaine figured out who Henry was, but how did she know that he has the heart of the truest believer? Is Jeremiah significant? A couple of things we learned about Lady Tremaine in this episode is that she is accruing magical items, blaming and punishing Cinderella for what she did. It was pretty cool when Cinderella got to Lady Tremaine’s estate. It was also a cool twist that Lady Tremaine actually wants to take revenge on Cinderella and it was intriguing that Cinderella said she was responsible for Anastasia’s death. What did actually happen to Anastasia? How was Cinderella responsible for her death or is she just blaming herself? Is Victoria Belfry awake? She did refer to Jacinda as Cinderella and Lucy as Henry’s daughter, after all. Was, all of this time, building a condo because she just want to try to find the coffin? She does seem to have this MO of taking people’s homes. On the little form that they printed out, everything on that page was totally legit as ABC actually registered the domain HyperionHeightsBuildingCommission.com back in July this year. One other thing about Victoria is she wants to save Anastasia from a certain death. It seems like she is involved in casting, if not the one who cast this curse and the whole purpose of this curse is to bring Henry so she could t...
