Dr. Vandana Shiva is an internationally renown environmental and social activist, and formerly a one of India’s top nuclear physicists. She is regarded as the leading pioneer behind India’s ecological and ecofeminism movement. In 1982 Dr. Shiva founded the Research Foundation for Science, Technology and Ecology, which led to the creation of Navdanya (all “a”s are softly pronounced  NAV-DAN-YA) – an organization dedicated to the restoration of organic farming across India and the preservation of indigenous knowledge and culture.For several decades, Vandana has fought for changes in the globalized practices of agriculture and food. She has traveled the world speaking against biopiracy and patenting of indigenous knowledge by large agricultural and pharmaceutical corporations. The conspiracy to assassinate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.William Pepper is a New York attorney best known for representing Martin Luther King’s accused assassin, James Earl Ray, to prove his innocence. Dr. King had reached out to William in 1967 regarding an essay he had written for Ramparts magazine concerning Vietnamese victims of American napalm missions and was present at Dr. King’s famous Riverside Church speech.William was the citizens chairman for Robert Kennedy’s run for the Senate in Westchester Country and was also a counsel for Robert Kennedy’s assassin Sirhan Sirhan arguing for a second shooter. We are fortunate to have with us today a key person who was a witness to the assassination of president John F Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963. During the events, he had received a minor wound on his right check from a ricochet bullet or concrete fragment from a shot that had hit a curb close to where he was standing. Aside from Kennedy and Texas governor John Connally, James is the only other person who was wounded by gunfire for many years conducted his own investigation into the JFK assassination, receiving various documents and correspondence, and conducting many interviews with people who might add additional pieces to the puzzle.His personal account was published in his book “Truth Withheld”.His most recent book is “LBJ and the Kennedy Killing.
