We live to fight another day. A great performance by John Maine. A stand-up performance by the bullpen combo of Bradford, Mota and Heilman. Reyes, LoDuca and Shawn Green had key hits. Billy Wagner, well, let's forget him for a moment. It's Oliver Perez (and a hungry Mets lineup plus 56,000 fans) against Jeff Suppan and the Cardinals. We can do this. One game, our field, I believe. !!!LET’S GO METS!!! Listen Now MP3 File

New York Mets Podcast #46 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: Unknown

A wrap of game four of the NLCS. We Win. Yeah baby! We get an okay start out of Oliver Perez, who goes into the sixth. Carlos Delgado turns into a one man wrecking crew. The rest of the lineup thaws as well. The bullpen throws 3 1/3 shutout innings to hold the line. Game 5 gets rained out so Tom Glavine gets an extra day of rest. So does Cliff Floyd, who might just be able to pinch hit in the last couple of games if needed. Also word that Albert Pujols (who pulled an o-fer last night) is nursing a hamstring injury. What can I say? A great win to start the series. The pitching was excellent. The bats were pretty quiet but Carlos Beltran came through. It also looks like Cliff Floyd is lost as a starter for the rest of this series. This episode is mostly made up of call in segments from myself at a sports bar in Dallas, TX and my pal Brother Love who was actually at the game. LET'S GO METS! Listen Now  MP3 File
