Summary: This Podcast is one component of OpenAnesthesia.org, an organization dedicated to promoting evidence based medicine in anesthesiology, critical care, and pain management. Our website, powered by MediaWiki, allows physicians and researchers to to create, in a collaborative fashion, a body of knowledge regarding accepted practices for the care of surgical and critically ill patients, as well as those suffering from intractable pain. In addition to critically reviewing, presenting, and summarizing the primary literature, we offer commentary (in the form of Podcasts) on important articles from Anesthesia & Analgesia. OpenAnesthesia.org was created by the Edward C. Nemergut and Robert H. Thiele at the University of Virginia Department of Anesthesiology, and is supported by the IARS.
