By definition, a kingdom requires a king. And in God's kingdom there reigns an eternal king with absolute power. Do you think of Jesus that way? Do you know the joy of submitting to him as your king?
Peace is something our hearts long for, but rarely find. God knows this and he tells us that he can satisfy the longing of our hearts. Do you know the name of God that means "God of Peace"?
What is your greatest need today? Do you wonder if God sees your need? Does he care? God tells us that he is the God who sees. And there is one example of this that towers above all the others.
The relationship between God and his people is a marriage. Always the faithful husband, God refuses to let go of his people despite their betrayal. Have you ever thought about God in this way?
We are born with a craving that this world cannot satisfy. God understands this better than we do, which is why He invites us to know Him as "Goel" and "Emmanuel". Do you know God in this way?
What is in a name? Parents get to choose their children's names, but what about God? His names point to his character. They give us a deeper dimension of who he is and how he acts.
The Olympic flame represents the nations coming together in peace. As powerful as this image is, it pales in comparison to the Light of the World who calls people from every nation to Himself.
