Summary: very week, iFanboy talks comics. This video show brings you the world of comic books through the eyes of iFanboy hosts Josh, Ron, and Conor. Whether you want to see what's going on at some of the biggest comic book conventions, or you're not sure what comics you should be reading, iFanboy covers a new topic every week, with passion, honesty, and, if all goes well, some laughs too. Whether it's talking about comics from the living room, or going out and meeting big names at conventions and signings, iFanboy will bring you something fun every week. Watch iFanboy for graphic novel and trade paperback recommendations, reviews of comics from Marvel, DC, Image, and Indie publishers, and sometimes we even give dating advice. The exciting news in comics is that Lazarus, with Michael Lark on art, will come out from Image Comics in 2013. Rucka speaks with us about as much of the book as he can, and it's certainly enough to pique your interest. We get updates on Stumptown as well as where the creator stands in terms of who he's working for these days, and what creator owned work means to him. Jay Faerber One of my favorite books of 2011 was Near Death, so any opportunity to chat with writer Jay Faerber about it is always a good time. We also talk about his work on the TV Show Ringer. Once yearly, the comics industry descends on the far west side of Manhattan and crams into the all too tiny confines of the Javit's Center for New York Comic Con. And as we do, iFanboy is there to talk to your favorite creators and get the scoop on what's going on and what's coming up. It's always a treat and a pleasure to talk to the writing team of Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, who have been very busy of late! Their entry into the New 52 at DC Comics has been Resurrection Man, a title they originally launched in the 1990s. Meanwhile, at Marvel, DnA have been busy with the New Mutants role in Regenesis, as well as going street level with Villains for Hire. No convention is complete without checking in with Crazy Insane Person Jim McCann, who was at the New York Comic Con with a big announcement: Mind the Gap, an ongoing series at Image Comics. Jim fills us in on what the new project is and what we can expect to see when it launches in 2012. We also get a glimpse of the sequel to the Eisner Award winning Return of the Dapper Men AND a bonus cameo from a mysterious Marvel staffer clad in a hat and a duster. One of the more beautiful books at the con this year was Mr. Murder Is Dead and we chat with artist Brent Schoonover about the Dick Tracy-esque graphic novel from Archaia and how he was the perfect man for the job. Coming off the big announcement of the new series from Marvel Comics, Scarlet Spider, fan favorite artist Ryan Stegman chats about how nerve wracking it can be to announce a new series about a controversial character and some of the more exciting aspects of what lies ahead for the this new character and his world. He's one of the hardest working men in comics, it's Top Cow publisher and creator Filip Sablik. Not only is he helping to usher in a new age of comics at Top Cow as they reach milestone issues with their flagship characters, but he's also editing the largest offering of Pilot Season books ever in 2011, and on top of that, he WROTE one of the Pilot Season books as well! When does the man sleep? For Marvel fans, one of the most exciting announcements was the new creative team on Secret Avengers, and we caught up with the new ongoing artist, Gabriel Hardman. Coming off his year on Hulk with Jeff Parker, Hardman shares his approach to Secret Avengers as well as chats about his 2 projects that he collaborated with his wife on, Betrayal of the Planet of the Apes and The Liar. Rob Liefeld is a comic book loving and making maniac! One of the biggest announcements at New York Comic Con was the return of the Extreme line at Image Comics, overseen by Liefeld. And if that wasn't enough, Liefeld is keeping himself busy drawing two monthly books: The Infinite from Image Comics and Hawk & Dove at DC Comics! One of the most succesful indie comics stories of the last few years is Atomic Robo and then men behind that successful series are Brian Clevinger & Scott Wegener! What's the deal with the time-spanning robot who is equally at home stomping Nazis and taking meetings in the board room? One of the most daring and innovative comic book companies these days is Archie Comics--that's right, Archie Comics! Archie Comics Co-Publisher Jon Goldwater and Archie Comics President Mike Pellerito give the lowdown on what's exciting at Archie Comics! Francis Manapul is one half of the team behind one of the biggest books in comics: The Flash! As both the co-writer and the artist responsible for Barry Allen's adventures, Manapul is a man constantly on the move. Archiaia Entertainment is producing some of the most interesting and innovate original graphic novels on the stands today. Books from the likes of Jim Hensen, Brent Schoonover, and Marjane Satrapi. Archaia Entertainment Editor-in-Chief Stephen Christy shows of some of his wares and makes us want to spend a lot of money. Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie just can't seem to shake each other, even though they aren't working together (at the moment). But while they might not be teaming up at the moment, both have found their home in the X-Men corner of the Marvel Universe. Plus: Jamie McKelvie blushes and Kieron Gillen sings!

Jeff Lemire is riding high on the releases of his two new DC titles, Animal Man and Frankenstein: Agent of S.H.A.D.E., and the two titles couldn't be any different. We talk to Jeff about taking over two very well known characters. Then we catch up on Sweet Tooth, and see where he spends most of his creative energy. Also, he's not going to talk about a Swamp Thing crossover. Josh Williamson is behind a couple of books hitting the stands in October, and he's here to tell us all about Xenoholics from Image Comics, about a group of folks who meet in support group for alien abductees. Then, switching audiences completely, there's Sketch Monsters from Oni, an all ages book about a little girl's imagination come alive through her drawings. Finally, Josh is writing the Uncharted comic book, and talks about what it's like to adapt something from a big video game property. Mahmud Asrar is an up and coming artist who many readers got to know in the pages of Supergirl #1 in the DC Relaunch. He had a hand in bringing a new version of the girl of steel to life, and drew one heck of an action sequence in the first issue. Blair Butler is mostly known for her comics reviews and interviews on G4's Fresh Ink, but now she'll also be known as a comic creator, when Heart comes out from Image Comics. Drawn by Kevin Mellon, Heart is the story of an MMA fighter who's going from cubicle worker to champion. Joe Keatinge is about the most enthusiastic comic creator we could find on the floor at NYCC. At the show, they announced a new series of Glory from Rob Liefeld's Extreme Studios written by Keatinge and drawn by Ross Campbell, who both took time to talk to us. Keatinge also announced his new Image ongoing series, Hell Yeah, which goes back to his very favorite parts of comics with a unique new kind of story. We also get an update on Brutal, co-created by Keatinge and Frank Cho. Jason Aaron wraps up this episode talking about wrapping up his creator owned series, Scalped from Vertigo, as well as talking about all the goings on at Marvel. Aaron is starting up The Incredible Hulk with Marc Sivestri. He's also writing Wolverine & the X-Men in the wake of X-Men: Schism and discusses where they're going and what caused them. Basically, he's keeping quite busy.
