Cameraman Brad Bestelink orchestrates this week's podcast from the Moremi Game Reserve in Botswana as he follows the resident lion pride as they, in turn, track a buffalo herd. The action comes to head when the lions bring down an injured female buffalo, but the herd is quick to respond to the animal's bellows of distress, thundering back to rescue her.

In this week's Lions of Moremi podcast from the Moremi Game Reserve, Graham Springer first bring a pride of lions at a water crossing. In this clip the lionesses tackle the water crossing and once they had all crossed, their demeanour changed, signalling that they may have picked up a scent and were no longer in a playful mode but rearing themselves for a kill. We then join the pride as they continue moving southeast in search of the scent they had picked up and eventually they came across a small herd of buffalo. The lionesses set themselves up around an old buffalo bull but gave a half-hearted chase, mainly because there were no males to assist them, and immediately, they realised that it was a worthless attempt.
