It was a week of mixed emotions in the cup for the lions with a 5-2 home FA Cup win against Braintree Town which saw Harry Smith score a hat trick quickly followed by a 1-3 home defeat to Wycombe in the Checkatrade Trophy. Our 1st guest on the show was Lewisham councillor & head of the Scrutiny Committee Alan Hall talking about what he can comment on about the upcoming meeting on the 15th December where the CPO issue which affects not only the club but other local resident’s property surrounding the ground will be heard. Our 2nd guest on the show was Scott Fitzgerald, keeping us up to date with the young lions in the academy and who’s knocking at door to join in with the senior squad and the ones to watch out for in the future. Our 3rd guest on the show was former youth player Kris Tarwdek who broke into the 1st team this season, Kris is an exciting young midfielder and talked about his rise to the senior team. Our first guest on the show was manager and Lions legend Neil “Chopper” Harris talking about the stop start to this season along with how the lions are putting that behind them & the way forward. In the second half of the show we were joined by another lions legend Paul “Robbo” Robinson telling us about life with Wimbledon and the possibility of playing against the team he played for as a boy to a man! After Fleetwood paid the penalty the weekend before last with the lions coming out 2-1 winners at home and then winning away from home at Oxford by the same result coming from behind and what has to be a contender for goal of the season from Steve Morison to put some of the hurt to one side after the home defeat to Bolton! But yet again the Lions failed to keep clean sheets but the wins lifted the Lions up to 13th in the table 3 points of a playoff place with a game in hand but did it lift Graeme’s gloom? Our first guest on the show was goalkeeping legend Alex Stepney who was between the sticks for the lions during the great historical unbeaten run of 59 league games taking us on a trip down Cold Blow Memory Lane and what life was like playing for the lions.
