 Nos Audietis: Episode 57 | File Type: audio/mpeg | Duration: 1:14:44

It’s a bit of an odd week for both us and the Seattle Sounders. While, ideally, we’d be entirely focused on Sunday’s game against the Portland Timbers, there are some other matters that need to be dealt with. The first topic of conversation is last Saturday’s awful loss to the Montreal Impact. Aaron and I go over what larger meaning that game may have and try to suss out how much cause for panic their really is. Unfortunately, as weren’t able to record until Tuesday, it may sound a bit odd that we didn’t really bother to discuss Sporting Kansas City. The reality is that many will probably listen to this show after that game has been played and we felt our time was better focused on the first Cascadia Cup match of the year. Along those lines, we welcomed Mike Fucito back to the show. Fucito was, once again, on top of his game and promised that even if he scored he would not be reprising Roger Levesque’s scuba dive celebration. Among the revelations are that he deleted his Facebook account upon being traded to the Timbers. He also explains that he has grown more comfortable in that uglier shade of green. Of course, no episode of Nos Audietis would be complete without taking your questions. If you’d like to have your questions answered on future shows, be sure to follow us on Twitter (@nosaudietis) or shoot us an email (nosaudietis(at)gmail(dot)com). You can also “like” us on Facebook.

In the first episode on the new Tuesday night schedule, host Christopher McCollum is joined by regular panelists Brian Sciaretta, John Kretlow, and Jamie Hill. Former GolTV commentator and current beIN Sports personality Phil Schoen joined the panel as a special guest to discuss a variety of topics. First on the agenda for the show was a discussion on the new Yanks Abroad website set to be released within the next couple of days, and then the conversation turned to goal line technology. A spirited debate between Brian and Phil is had, with no clear victor at the end. Up next was a discussion of Timothy Chandler and where Phil thinks he stands with Germany and the United States. To finish off the conversation with Phil, talk turns to players he expects to see travel to Azteca to play Mexico, and who he sees coming out of MLS to join up with the National Team in the near future. The show concludes with an update on the Glasgow Rangers situation, with the current word being that the old club is dead, and the new club may not even be accepted into the Scottish Football Association's ranks, let alone get back into the Premier League.
