On this episode of the WDW Kingdomcast we discuss the various modes of transportation around WDW from monorails to resort launches and everything in between! We give some tips and tricks for utilizing the transportation all around the resort, and cover some lesser known modes of getting around the world that some may not know about. We also give insight to the possibility of a monorail expansion via a new spur on the south side of the property. This arm chair imageenering monorail spur concept would stretch from the built but un-used loading platform on the second floor of the EPCOT monorail station, down to Animal Kingdom with a few stops in between! On this episode of the WDW Kingdomcast we are joined by the author of "WALT AND THE PROMISE OF PROGRESS CITY" Sam Gennawey! Sam wrote this book with in depth detail of the planning, function, and lay out of what was to be Walt's last big dream "Progress City" or what ended up being EPCOT CENTER as most know it today. Progress City or the Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow was originally conceived to be a futuristic urban city showcasing the latest American industry had to offer. Sam talks with us about Progress City and his research that led to his book that explains in great detail the plans and ideas for what was the main purpose of "The Florida Project". On this episode of the WDW Kingdomcast we cover Ron's recent trip out to Disneyland for the opening of Carsland. We also do a walk through of Disneyland and DCA comparing some of the attractions that exist at both Disneyland and the Walt Disney World resort but in different forms. We usually don'tt cover anything Disneyland but Carsland has been long awaited and seems to be worthy of being covered. Also, for a lot of WDW fans (including myself and Chris) we have never been to Disneyland yet, so it's nice to get some insight into the differences and extras the Disneyland resort in Anaheim,CA has to offer! On this episode of the WDW Kingdomcast we are joined by Kingdomcast fan Johnathon Hopkins as we cover a few FAILS over the past few weeks around the parks. These fails include The Dumbo attraction debacle, the placement of planters blocking the Tomorrowland Terrace (pictured below), and the "Bait and Switch" tactic pulled on those who bought the $185 "World Key" tickets for D23's EPCOT 30th anniversary event. On this episode of the WDW Kingdomcast we go back to doing some more armchair Imagineering of an Idea we came up with while riding the resort launch boat across the Seven Sea Lagoon last month: "Tortuga Island". This idea as you will hear laid out would be fucking epic! With Pirates of the Caribbean being a multi-billion dollar franchise, and also being on par with almost (if not more) the same cult following as "Harry Pothole", we feel this would be a very suitable answer to the rival land/attraction over at Universal. At the very least, a far better idea than that Avatard land shit! °o° Disney Imagineering’s 4 Rules for Brainstorming Rule #1: There is no such thing as a bad idea. We never know how one idea (however far-fetched) might lead into another one that is exactly right. Rule #2: We don’t talk yet about why not. There will be plenty of time for realities later, so we don’t want them to get in the way of the good ideas now. Rule #3: Nothing should stifle the flow of ideas. No buts or can’ts or other “stopping” words. We want to hear words such as “and”, “or”, and “what if?” Rule #4: There is no such thing as a bad idea. (We take that one very seriously.

On this episode of the WDW Kingdomcast we are joined by Bob Angelo of "Mouse Chat" as we cover "The State of the Kingdom". We cover the advancements, additions and destruction of the vacation kingdom of the world! On this episode of the WDW Kingdomcast we cover our favorite land in The Magic Kingdom (and possibly fav place in WDW before the character rape/infusion) "Tomorrowland".  We cover the history, go over some past attractions/past overlays, and talk current attractions in depth as well as little details around this land of "the future that never was". I think we mostly glorify the 94' refurb that brought then entire land together as a sci-fi city with all original attractions. I don't know about you, but walking into Tomorrowland now is definitely is a far cry from what it used to be. Right when you walk in to the land from Main Street your smacked with a tri-fuckeda of shitty attractions that replaced timeless classics. We don't mind when attractions are replaced with something legit (okay we prolly do since it has, for the most part, been for the worst) but man, this place used to be the spot. There was so many things to do we could spend all day going back on attractions over and over and have no reason to leave! Tomorrowland is now cut in half in terms of quality attractions, and the east side still holds strong. I highly doubt Space Mountain/TTAP/and CoP will ever be replaced, or even raped with character infusion. In other news Value Resorts now have "beverage coolers" aka "mini fridges" and free wifi. Still ghetto? yep, but at least a little more tolerable. Also Test Track is now closed for a major overlay until sometime in September.
